This fits with that notion.
It's not that the Knicks actually want a PF in return, they look really short at the SF position so if they wanted Otto Porter jr I'd do that eve if it meant having to look for a second trade. But at this point I've got to really consider trading Lauri. Unless he goes on a real tear and starts to average 20-10 he's not looking like the answer or as though he's worth any kind of extension. What's most troubling is there's no real reason why he can't develop into the player they thought he would be when he was drafted. It just seems to be in his head and that's harder to fix than finding post moves.
Randle is basically an expiring contract, don't have to pick up his option unless he looks like a great fit with the core group. The big benefit would be getting rid of Felicio without having to give up a pick or extra player.
At this point I rather keep Dunn and look to trade Arcidiacono if anybody wanted him. As a mater of fact I wish they would take a 7 or 10 game stretch and start Valentine at the 3, Dunn next to Lavine and have Satoransky, Young and White come off the bench just to see how it works out.
Randle's contract isn't guaranteed for next season?
Randle is guaranteed next year at $19mil and has a $4mil guarantee in 2021.
