Same. I've been gone for 5 years.

There are basketball junkies who like rebuilding, they get into "the process" and draft picks. We had guys on this board last year talking about how cool it would be to be an OKC fan. But 90% of NBA fans couldn't be bothered with that stuff. Just give them a team that can play. My office is talking about the Bulls now, for the first time in 5 years. The team was dead to them until this year. I would guess that is what it's like throughout Chicago. The Bulls are once again relevant.

Every city is like that. There was a very real stretch in LA where USC Football was the most important team. The Lakers sucked, I think the Dodgers were bad, but USC had Pete Carroll, Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart etc.. They were a big ticket.

I had coworkers going to USC games that were not only NOT alumnus but were transplants from other states. It was a weird time, but I assume better than rooting for Smush Parker.

Thank you. Annoying reading the thread after a win and seeing people talk about blowing the lead lmao

Teams make runs. The panic about giving up a lead should be off-set by the impressiveness of building it in the first place. Often you have hot and cold patches (as do your opponents).

Agree especially in todays NBA with the amount of 3's taken leads can literally vanish quick. More impressive we held our composer and still won!

BKN plays MIN tonight. Let's hope for double-overtime. We could use some help from the basketball gods with Green out and Caruso hobbled with a strained hammy.

Post game live, the #1 topic following the win was about DJJ center spot . It’s actually a thing not just me being a stickler.
Everybody agrees it needs to be fixed .
Not sure why tony Bradley can’t play?
Too slow? he gave us good minutes as a backup before.

But why is it annoying? It’s a fact that they lost a 20+ point lead. Just because a lot of teams are losing big leads, we should be ok with it? No one is upset with winning the game….it’s just that people are pointing out a trend where they have lost some significant leads. Thankfully they have managed to hold on for the win at times, but it can cost them at times too. It’s definitely something for the team to work on, because if they get better with playing with a lead after halftime, they’d be winning even more games.

A nice overview of the team . The big 3, and then some of the bench players that make this a well rounded team .

While I’ve really disliked going micro , maybe djj at center wouldn’t be so had if you had a serviceable PF along side him . Like Troy Brown . It’s doable and could work in the short term vs a top heavy team like the Nets.

why?

djj has been really really good, and i can’t think of one team that punished us with a reserve center who bullied him. it’s exceptionally unlikely we find a bulkier backup center who’s better for our team, and bradley can do a fine job as a situational defender as needed

like, maybe shop on the buyout market for an upgrade on bradley, but it would be silly to give up an actual asset with the intent to upgrade on djj

The Bulls will have to rest Vuc sometimes and he won't be there for every game. We saw how Tony Bradley did when Vuc was out.

I'm not saying make a trade just to make a trade. It'd have to be the right one. I'm glad that DDJ has stepped up, but we're also playing a 6'4" Javonte Green at the PF spot.

lets not do this. I like rebuilds, specially when you have no future prospects like Bulls did. It was good decision to rebuild. Rebuild itself was not a issue, its was people behind it. The way Bulls did rebuild was just terrible. Which is not suprising given people who were in charge were in charge before off and were reason why it was our only option.

Our rebuild could have easily ended up instead Lauri-White-WCJ be Adebayo-Luka-Herro.
