Broussard: Wade/Bosh to Miami

The only place management screwed up was making the Hinrich trade without real assurances that we were gonna be able to get a top fa with the cap space. Don't say it's good because we got rid of hinrichs contract. First of all it would be a pretty valuable expiring after this season and second of all were likely going to waste the cap space on a contract just as bad or worse.

I'd still do the Hinrich deal. It saved us money to add depth and we still have a chance to land a solid SG this summer.

Looking at the contracts given out so far, it seems highly likely that the Bulls will have to overpay someone else FAR more than Hinrich was.

Seriously, people are talking about paying Carlos Boozer 18 million a season or David Lee 15 million a season.

2 weeks ago everyone thought Wade was staying in Miami and likely bringing Bosh or Amare with him. Now that that's happened you guys act like it was predicted they were both coming to Chicago all along and this is a huge failure. Stop it! The big fish hasn't even signed yet.

I've allowed the Bulls to dominate my thoughts and life for over 20 yrs and I can't do that anymore.

Yeah, it may be time to re-evaluate this thing as a priority in my life if we get no one (and I mean no one, which has a fair chance of happening right now). I'm privileged I got to see the Jordan years from '88 - '98, and I stuck it out for another 12 years after that, but there comes a time and point where it stops being worth it and you start to become a masochist. I'm starting to sympathize with Cubs fans.

I agree, you can only go through so much heartbreak with this team. I just dnt understand why we keep taking a step back, whts so wrong with this franchise that players are scared to come and play here. Those damn Chicago winters

I'm a bit relieved by the news that only Wade and Bosh will be signing with Miami. I do not think Wade and Bosh are enough to push Miami over the top. If LeBron goes to New York I do not think that pushes them over the top either. Each team will have two stars and thats it. Rose, FA, Deng, Lee, Noah is just as good as Cleveland or New York with LeBron and Miami with Wade and Bosh.

Hinrich is one of the best defensive guards in the league. btw I've notice that the West has done nothing to improve itself while the east is stocking up talent through free agency and the draft (first 3 picks went to the east). Balance of power beginning to shift.

Bosh knew he was going to Miami months in advance. The only reason he courted the Bulls with Wade was because the Toronto front office was bluffing and promising not to trade Bosh to the Heat, thus he wouldn't get his max deal. Two months ago LeBron staying in Cleveland was almost a lock, and the situation for his suitors hasn't changed one bit, except that NYK now has STAT.

What we should be concerned about is how Miami will fill out the rest of their roster with the remaining money they will have. They obviously need to fill the PG & C position, and possibly SF if Beasley is as crazy as he seems. That team's future hinges on the ability to sign decent players to fair contracts. If they sign Steve Blake or Matt Barnes type players to MLE money, they're potential is pretty much wasted.

I disagree. Bosh has been attached to Wade at the hip recently. I think he was going to play w/LBJ as long as it was practical. It ceased to be so, so he chose Wade instead.

I can't speak for others, but for me it isnt a choice..... I've literally had a panic attack at work simply over the Bulls losing a game to the Knicks by blowing a double digit lead in the 4th qtr.....maybe I'm insane, either way I can't do this anymore...it has nothing to do with Bosh or Wade, but the idea that LBJ could be a Knick is too much for me to handle, I hate that team more than anything...

Im at the point where finding out Lebron is staying with the Cavs would make me ridiculously happy...even signing with the Heat or Nets and ill be ok....just not the Knicks

I'm done with message boards, and until I can look at it as just a game and not the determining factor in my life for whether im happy/sad then i just have to walk away after 21 yrs... all the best to you all

Cleveland beat writer a moment ago said Chicago is NOT out of it. Says LeBron really likes Rose and Noah. Also downplayed Knicks rumors. My guess is the "Chicago is out" rumors are people jumping to conclusions because Wade and Bosh turned down the Bulls.
