Imagine Tarik Cohen in this offense? Those holes and running lanes? Passes on time to space.

Yes they're in an awful position next year salary-wise.

As it currently stands the Bears are projected to have ~$2 million to spend in 2021 and they need to: Resign A Rob, Resign Mitch, Sign 2 competent Tackles.

Other Free Agents that will need resigning or replacing:
Cordarelle Patterson
Pat O'Donnel
Deon Bush
Sherrick McMannis
Alex Bars
Cairo Santos

You're looking at like $40-45 million dollars in salary right there and that doesn't include all the reserves that will be free agents also.

The Quinn, Massie, and Leno contracts are absolutely killing us.

as susan says, massie could reasonably be cut at relatively small cost. don't think leno is worth cutting. another problem is kyle fuller, who got paid like a prince for one great season but has regressed to being a pretty standard #1 corner. $20 mil cap hit next season, which the bears are now unlikely to be willing to pay to retain their top receiver 'cause they can't afford it

Fuller’s regression is due to the scheme IMO. Pagano plays safe and gives the corners room. Fuller plays best attacking.

which makes signing fuller to big money in the same offseason that you bring in pagano a very dubious strategy

sounds reasonable, actually. makes the team's prospects even worse next season, though, given the dearth of cap room. and removes his safety net in robinson as well. good luck getting past year 1, mitch

Same can be said of hiring Nagy to run the KC offense here year after you bet the farm and traded up for Trubisky. Clearly Pace doesn't know wtf he's doing.

why would trubisky have more success in a different kind of offense?

you gave up before answering my question: why would trubisky fare better in an offense that is NOT the "kansas city offense"?

Because he's a guy that everyone including Pace knew was extremely raw and only had started 1 year in college, he wasn't going to be able to run a pro style offense that includes dropbacks on 88% of the playbook.

He maybe could've developed if they'd eased him into it and invested more into the O-line, but in typical Bears fashion they put players into awful positions and then wonder why they don't succeed.

Mahomes was a 3 year starter in college who put up monster numbers his final 2 seasons and still he sat his first year in the NFL under a good coach Andy Reid because he thought he was too raw and too prone to making mistakes and turning the ball over. That's what good organizations do, they identify talent but they don't put guys in positions where they're setup to fail.

Nagy doesn't know how to adapt to his personnel and he brought a d-coordinator who doesn't mesh with his personnel. Stupid is as stupid does.

mack, hicks, robinson and patterson all questionable for sunday. keep those hopes up, jets fans!

speaking of the jets, their poor punter makes the play of his life and it quite possibly adversely affects the franchise for the next 15+ years

AZ down 8, would've been 11 but Robbie Gould broke a 31-consecutive made streak and missed a 41 yarder.

Edit: AZ down 8 again with 8:36 left, Gould just missed an extra point to make it a 2 score game... FFS.

Edit 2: Murray picked in the endzone with 4:37 left, Niners still up 8.

Plus Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes.

Lets go Bears.

Who owns the tiebreaker if both teams end up 8-8?
