Beal might be less of a fantasy than usual, because he's Bartelstein and Bartelstein really likes his clients in Chicago.

Bartelstein also really wanted MPJ in Chicago.

LaVine
Thad
/
Dieng
Kyle Anderson
Brandon Clarke
Unprotected FRP

Grizzlies get a running mate and much needed shooting for Morant while Thad improves their already great defense. They'd obviously have to be in win now mode.

Bulls get two solid pieces in Anderson and Clarke along with a FRP. Slide Coby to the 2 and Sato to 1. P-will at 3 Clarke at 4 with Kyle off the bench. Bulls improve defensively but lose offense. Still I think it would be worth considering.

i got in a big argument here once with other people because they thought i valued brandon clarke way too highly

that trade made me go “oof” at how bad it is for the bulls

Yeah.. why not have both Zach and Beal here? I'll trade everybody other than Zach and Pat for him.

Even if Beal wanted to be here, which I doubt, it would still very likely cost basically all of our future picks to get him here (unless we involve Zach, which makes no sense). Even then, I think the Wizards would get better offers. I just don't think it's realistic.

Hell no. Some of these trades look they came from another team’s fan they are so awful for us. We aren’t trading LaVine for that level of trash. One unprotected FRP means nothing to me.

It sounds like Beal doesn’t want to get traded (per wiretap). He will likely play out this season and the next and if Washington fails to make the playoffs, he won’t pick up his player option and test out free agency.

This could work out in the Bulls favor if they can position themselves correctly financially.

It’s one of the reasons why I want the Bulls to target Andre Drummond. Him and Bradley Beal are childhood friends and likely won’t demand more than 18-20M/annually.

If the Bulls can make it to the playoffs, have a childhood friend on the roster, have his former coach on the team, and gets encouraged by his agent, AK might have a chance to lure him to Chicago. We know Beal is a big fan of LaVine too.

Agreed. Any package for LaVine to Memphis would need to include Morant or JJJ. I could see Memphis targeting Markkanen or WCJ though.

I'm not opposed to dealing with MEM, just not the OP way

Lavine and Hutchison

for

Allen, Clarke, Brooks and that unprotected FRP

Don't have any interest in Dieng making it 5 centers for the rest of the year just to get another expiring contract. Anderson, like a couple of other players, is having the best year of his career. It's a fool's bet to think he suddenly found the answer.

Clarke can split time with Young at the PF, Brooks can take the minutes behind behind Williams at the SF, with White moving to the SG Allen and Brooks take minutes behind him with Satoransky starting at PG and White a part time PG behind him.

There are 40+ games to see what the MEM guys can do and how they fit in, Porter and Temple are still on the roster. The new guys are under contract but they aren't soaking up a big portion of cap space for next year and the Bulls have 2 FRPs and a 2nd to fill the roster

Bulls Receive:
Victor Oladipo
PJ Tucker
2021 1st (POR - 1-14 protected)

Rockets Receive:
Lauri Markkanen
Otto Porter Jr.
2021 2nd

Victor Oladipo / Coby White
Zach LaVine / Tomas Satoransky
Patrick Williams / Garrett Temple
Thaddeus Young / PJ Tucker
Wendell Carter Jr. / Daniel Gafford

Bulls get Oladipo’s bird rights, enough cap space to sign an impact free agent, and have 2 1st Round Picks in 2021 to find a future starting power forward.

Oladipo is a real sleeper out there. The fit with lavine is questionable but there is something to be said for just acquiring max talent. As for the trade, that is not a lot of value for Houston.

It’s difficult to know what kind of value Oladipo has. I can’t see a team giving too much for him because he could walk.

I agree. I like his defense next to LaVine. Both have enough playmaking ability to make it work and Coby can continue to develop leading the second unit.

I included the 1st as insurance, in case he decides to sign elsewhere, but maybe a couple 2nds is the best we could get

The problem with Dipo is that he's a UFA after the season. I can't believe he'll fetch a lotto pick in consideration, but sign me up.

With Atlanta listening to Collins offers, would anyone be interested in Lauri+ pick for Collins.

I like the deal but I seriously doubt they would include a 1st to make it happen. Take away that 1st and I think think rockets would listen

Collins wants a MAX deal and I don't think he is worth it.
