Incredible defensive effort by Mo Bamba here. Got beat in slow-motion.

That's like getting beat off the dribble by the Brian Scalabrine. What am embarrassing effort by Bamba.

Man, the players are pushing hard for Bjorkgren‘s firing in Indiana. Turns out that the mediocre roster was the reason for the mediocre results, not Nate McMillan. Who would’ve thought?

Word is that Nate is a poor playoff coach, that he doesn't make adjustments. I don't know about that. I do know that last year's Indy team overachieved during the regular reason, it had no business getting the #4 seed. So I was surprised that Indy thought it could do better with another coach.

Now of course that decision looks absolutely awful given how Atlanta is playing for Nate. The irony is, the Atlanta Nate is exactly the sort of hot commodity, successful coach that the Pacers will be seeking after they fire Bjorkgren.

At this point I'm starting to think McMillan is the black Thibs - he overachieves so much in the regular season with flawed rosters that people have unrealistic expectations of how his teams should perform against way more talented teams in the playoffs. So then he gets fired, and then the team that fires him gets worse immediately.

White Thibs at least won one game in series before getting swept rest of it. Black Thibs couldnt get even that. Thing is Indy's roster is really poor. Oladipo got traded and they got Lavert who was diagnosed after trade and missed whole year. TJ Warren got injured and missed a lot. Can't blame their coach for personel issues which is a lot worse than it was with McMillian.

It's hard to be competitve when your roster overall is 2x worse than Bulls but you still better than Bulls by miles record wise. And they somehow still complain about their coach when we brag about ours.

That's my take. Assuming the Hawks finish in 4th or 5th -- they are two games above the 6th spot currently -- Nate will have the chance to show his playoff stuff this season, because Atlanta has as much talent as whatever other team will place 4th or 5th.

Toronto/Washington going to OT because Hutchinson gave Pascal a wide lane for a dunk and then VanVleet drained a 3 after some Beal FTs

@MikePradaNBA: 13-17-17 while shooting 5-19 from the field, committing seven turnovers and fouling out because he tackled an opponent while his team was up 4 with 15 seconds left in an angry response to a botched call on him. The ultimate Russell Westbrook game.

Yep

David Griffin's rant blaming the officials for Zion injuring his finger trying to rebound the ball is total Bullsh*t!

Really? EVERY friggin' team in the NBA could sing that song. Cheap and easy to blame it on the refs.
Mr. Griffin needs to watch some Bulls games and see all the times Zach doesn't get calls!

Actually, he just needs to shut up, he's embarrassing himself and the organization. Pathetic!

Sure I want Ball, but I'm assuming we whiff there. The fall backs are less interesting. If he goes to NY, I'd swing hard for Rose. He doesn't make mistakes and wouldn't be a bad role model for White.

I don't hate the ideal of McConnell - dude is the sort of defender who helps set the tone and isn't a bad distributor.

On the never-true premise that mexican food tastes better the second time down - I could be fooled into low-cost pickups of ex-Bulls Nwaba, Dunn, Harrison or even (gulp, burp, swallow) Payne.

Active in what FA? There is just Ball out there and they'd have to cut a few people loose to get there.

I hope he means in sign and trades.

I think the S&T of Lauri is even less likely than us keeping our pick this season.

he is just desperate to show Zion that he loves him so that Zion doesn't leave. It's super transparent and won't help his cause. Putting a contending team in NO will though so get to to work on that. You need more than Ingram with Zion.

Are the Lakers going to be able to make this playoff run? Will they be healthy enough? This is honestly what I expected last year. Obviously they have are storing themselves up for the playoffs and don't care about seeding it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I don't think it's a sign and trade of Lauri. I think it'll be a trade of other assets. Could be a ball sign and trade is what I meant. Could be a trade for another target. Though I think Ball is likely the #1 target. They really botched it by not being able to get it done this season.

thought they had b2b in them but no 3 peat. Im beginning to believe in the Bucks, this might be their best shot at a title. Next year the Nets will be even deeper and a normal season will benefit the aging lebron.

Not seeing the Bucks. I could see the 76ers or Nets. Long shot for the Heat. I think it'll be the Clips or Lakers out of the west.

That is why people should be patient with the Bulls team and wait to see what this core does next year before writing things off as a failure.

Not saying Russ isn't impactful, just that his statistical achievement is the most unique of any player ever and would make the case for him being one of the greatest players of all time. The impact is way below that. I'm not sure he's even a top 50 player of all time.

Being able to average a triple double over the course of multiple seasons is a statistical marvel. I feel you have to put him in the top 50 players of all time list. He is a sure fire first ballot hall of famer. If you put Oscar Robertson in that list you have to include Westbrook too.
