KJ is going to be insane with NBA space.

Fears will be too.

I watched this game start to finish and came away impressed with the shooting but concerned about the athleticism. I get that he’s billed as a highly skilled pick and roll manipulator who’ll win with feel, but when he can’t beat anyone off the dribble and the closest comp for his style of play, Luka, is 3 inches taller and 50 lbs heavier, I have questions about his ability to play on-ball in the NBA.

This obv wasn’t his best game, though, so I’ll reserve judgment. Interested to see his passing showcased; it was the skill that excited me most based on highlights.

Kasparas is not NBA top 10 lottery talent. And I dont know why anyone is mentioning him given Bulls wont have their own pick in range where he is gonna get selected.

Johni Broome will be this years Trayce Jackson-Davis / Taj Gibson type player.

Drafted low due to his age - then just has a nice 10+ year career.

I perused the updated Mocks this morning from BR, CBS and Tankathon and he was projected 4, 5 and 6.

Long season and guys will rise or fall but that is where he is.

If Bulls GM by any chance have a 4th, 5th or 6th pick and pick Kasparas in that range he can start planning his quick exit from NBA and never be hired again. I wouldnt pick him in a weak class like last year in that range let alone in this one.

My personal opinion doesnt mean much, but sometimes people really shot themselves with projections. Just because you good college player doesnt mean you gonna be that good NBA player.

My guess is they projecting him that high because Luka Doncic exist. But Luka was truly one of kind. And what Luka was doing in much tougher and better league than NBA at younger age cannot be compared. Luka was sure fire thing for anyone with brain. That's why Divac is on NBA blacklist.

As it stands…

Bulls will be passed by Sixers and probably Kings. Hopefully CHA gets healthy and goes on a streak.

We should be at worst 5-6 but as of now we are tied for 10th. We need to get to 6 or we could lose the lottery and jump back and lose the pick.

Trade Vuc asap. Trade Coby and or Zach asap.

We need to stack losses. Lose to the Hawks and Bucks again. I’m ready for the young guys to get all the burn.

5-6 is going to be a hard get. I think the worst (best?) They finish up is 7th, there is no way the Bulls are worse than the Wizards, Raptors, Hornets, Jazz, Blazers & Nets, the Pelicans are the only 'good' team in the bottom 8 that have a chance to win more games than the Bulls but even that is reliant on their health (particularly Zion) and they've only won 5 games so far.

Let's add in the fact that the Bulls seemingly have zero desire to rebuild/miss the play-in. They're not in any rush to make any trades.

Teams we could pass if we don't sell off:
Pacers (15-17) - They aren't that good or that far ahead
Heat (15-14) - They seem like an internal mess, maybe they bluff on Butler and move him
Suns (15-16) - Who knows what will happen with these guys

Teams below them that I think will pass them if we sell some pieces:
Detroit (14-18) - Currently tied with them, has lots of young talent, can trivially pass them
Philly (12-17) - Barring more injuries, almost certainly passes them

Teams below them that I'd call a toss up even if we sell pieces:
Kings (13-19) - Who knows what happens after firing coach, could maybe pass them, but might also throw in towel

If you trade everyone tomorrow and make it an organizational priority, maybe you'd have a chance:
Nets (12-19) - Have already made moves to shed talent in-season, clearly focused on pick and have a lead
Blazers (11-20) - Focused on pick, will have much tougher schedule

Too late, these teams already beat you in the tanking race:
Jazz (7-23)
Hornets (7-24)
(Raptors (7-24)
Wizards (5-24)
Pelicans (5-27)

If we sold heavily immediately and made it an organizational priority to get bad, we could probably get to 6th. The practical best case if we sell off at the deadline is 8th and the worst case is probably 10th. If we don't sell at the deadline, then we'll probably give the pick to SA.

We currently by standing range where we dont own a pick in a 2025 draft. So I would like to propose to mods that every time Bulls own pick get out of range this thread gets locked. As social experiment would be nice to see what happens on this board in this situation.

There's still the 38th pick.

Somehow I missed that. I was thinking it was protected. But it's not. Well well well. We getting star at 38. Nice!

Maybe Tomislav Ivisic can become the Jokic 2.0 ;)

Bulls could also make a trade at the draft for a 1st.

Crazy fact: Only 10 teams actually own their own pick (with any restrictions) for this up coming draft.

Obviously, more teams will keep their pick with the restrictions in place, but only 10 teams will keep their pick no matter where they land.

I've kept seeing places label Ace Bailey as 6'10", I was sceptical at first, but watching this latest highlight, he just looks so long!

I hope the Bulls get the chance to draft Ace, I think he's my number 1 for this draft.

Ace Bailey is probably my least favorite player that's being hyped so far.

32% 3P%

62% FT%

53% TS%

A negative assist to turnover ratio (0.7 assists vs 2.5 turnovers)

He's an inefficient black-hole.

I'd rather watch Talen Horton-Tucker

Nets have 4 1sts. No way they use all 4.

I think at the draft it won’t be too difficult to trade for a 1st and it will be way easier to trade Zach and even Coby.

Return to Chicago Bulls
