How about...

D. Wright to Utah
Biedrins, Bell, 7th pick to CHI
Deng & Watson to GSW

Maybe Wright to Utah for a 2nd back (Agreement in Principle). Can't be something big.

I'd much rather do Ed Davis & #8 for Luol Deng. (if possible)

We get a lot of money off the books, #8, and a decent 5th rotational big (which would allow us to trade Gibson or Asik, if needed).

Maybe something like this with GSW's second round pick(s) going to Utah

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=78other

(Personally not a fan of this deal for us)

LOL, 2 years ago we were talking about how many first rounders we would have to give up to get Deng off the books.

I doubt the Bulls would give up the Charlotte pick in a trade where they're already giving up the top guy and the best thing they get back is "only" #7. #29 doesn't seem like anywhere near enough enticement for the Jazz, though. On the surface, it is hard to justify them taking on Biedrins, unless they are in fact dumping a big elsewhere. Even then, while I agree that at his age and with his past accomplishments, plenty of teams would take a chance on him moving forward, I doubt many are taking a $20 million chance on him. This one is pretty fascinating. I could see this being the kind of deal the Bulls and Warriors are working on, even if I'd personally like to see more return for Deng.

Yeah but then GS would be dealing two firsts. One to get Deng and another to shed Biedrins. I'm not sure they're too keen on that idea either. Ultimately it depends on how badly they want Deng. They paid $7M to Kwame Brown last year to be a backup, and they've bit the bullet on Beans deal this long. So I'm not sure they're exactly in a hurry to lose another pick because of it.

i dunno about that. salmons has fallen off a cliff the past couple of years

incoming salary - 23.6
outgoing - 27.6

even that mere 4 mil over 2 years in savings might marginally help us avoid lux tax this year (?), re-sign omer and/or taj. along with the potential in the draft pick might make make the deal worthwhile, but hardly something to be excited about

That's why I said it would depend on the guaranteed amount in the final year. If it's fully non guaranteed then it's 2 years 16 million vs 2 years 27.6 million.

As would I, but I doubt TOR takes that deal. they would probably want to dump a contract like kleiza or calderon in that deal.

I was thinking to do Calderon, James Johnson, 8th pick for Deng and Watson. We still shave off 4 mil from this season and then next season we shave off calderon and johnson's salary which would be around 13 mill.

Not only does this not work from a salary perspective, but Davis is also worth more than Deng.

Oh.
BTW, I removed some hyperbole from my post because Davis isn't valued as much as I initially thought and I hit Submit too early.

Jazz want a Point Guard upgrade and backcourt help.

Whether Lillard's taken before No. 8 will likely impact any attempt made by Jazz to move up in first round of #NBA draft and select him

Makes more sense the Jazz get the #7

Per Sham's site: Salmons final season is only $1,000,000 guaranteed if he is waived by 6/30/2014

Keeping Biedrins could mean a play for Howard.

Can we do Noah + Taj + Asik + Charlotte Pick + Unguaranteeds for Dwight and Hedo?

That would leave us with:

Dwight / Biedrins
Boozer/ Hedo
Dorrel / Hedo / Butler
Rip / #7 / Butler
Rose / Kidd / Lucas

That looks like a winner to me. Starting unit of Dwight/ Boozer / Dorrel / Rip/ Rose with Hedo coming in as a closer point forward.

I think we can use the MMLE on top of that lineup for some more 3 point scoring to round out the roster.
For love, not money.

7.5 PPG - 41% FG - 29% 3PT FG - 27.2 MPG - 32 years old

I'm still rooting for a pick higher than 7, or at least a better player coming back.

The Bulls hang up as soon as they are told to add the Bobcats Pick.

Too many ball dominate players in Sacramento.

Return to Chicago Bulls
