I said this before but I believe its M.Smart. I think Boston & LAL will get either Randle/Gordon/Vonleh making Smart up for grabs at #8. Either its trading both picks for #8 or Taj & pick 16(hope its 19) for #8.

We've been looking for a guy that can bring the ball up the court and letting Rose play off ball(reason why L.Stephenson's name is brought up). Smart is perfect beside D.Rose. He needs to work on his shooting but the guy is a winner, hates to lose and will be a lockdown defender in this league.

Perfect let's get a guy who can't shoot. That makes sense.

Who says he cant improve?

We still have 2 other spots to add a shooter. Mirotic is projected to be the starting PF by 2015 unless we trade Taj this year then he'll start, so thats a guy that can shoot and space the floor. And we can always add a guy like Trevor Ariza in FA who can also shoot the 3 even tho this was the only year he shot over 40% behind the arc.

I'm low on McDougy, but that aside, what about two way players? You need em to be a more serious contender. Pretty thoroughly discussed topic here. Think we'd learn that with all the money we have tied up with Booze/Taj at 1 position and how that hurts our cap.

Doug might end up being adequate on D for much of a game, but will he ever be good enough where Thibs wants to leave him in to close on that end? I have huge doubts on that. If I'm trading up, I maybe don't go as high and grab someone like Harris who I'm much more confident in playing both sides of the ball late.

One source said that the Kings' focus, for the moment, is Thursday's draft and perhaps swinging a trade involving the No. 8 overall pick. Sources told ESPN.com's Andy Katz on Tuesday that Sacramento has narrowed its potential draft pick trade partners down to Boston, Phoenix and Philadelphia -- three teams that have multiple first-round picks.

You may be glad we're not taking McDermott, but I'm upset we don't have the 8th pick with which to lure Love.

Outside of giving up Taj, how would we have gotten there? The rest of those assets could easily go to Minnesota. :)

We remain united in our love Love. Nice seeing you around here BB.

16, 19, and the Sacramento pick that we own back might have done it. And if you remember, they liked Snell quite a lot right before the draft but couldnt justify using the 7th pick on him. Well I don't like him so they can have him back. Any and all of those pieces could have nabbed us 8.

And I'd never leave you alone with these animals, Susan.

The day really couldn't get any worse.

So now LIKELY no Love, Afflalo, 12th pick and now 8th pick on the table.

Good point, Wingy. Generally, it's good two-way players that get the minutes. Dougie's upside on the other hand seems like a great sixth man at best, since his shortcomings mean he's going to have to be used carefully based on matchups... which would be a pretty epic waste of a mid lottery pick. I'll try to support this move as best I could if they go this route, since the front office has consistently proved the board wrong these last few times, but I'm praying they're not seriously pursuing this dude.

i kinda wanted to trade up (not for Doug tho)

offseason not shaping up well so far with Love getting close to being traded, Melo sounding like he wants to stay in NY and all the teams interested in Afflalo

we might get sent home with nothing

I don't want to jump to conclusions to how this offseason goes just based on not getting the 8th pick. I still see the 12th pick very much at play. If Cleveland doesn't accept that proposal from Orlando to move out of the 1 spot, we could be the next plan for Orlando.
