@AlexKennedyNBA: As Derrick Rose entered building to work out, he must have missed all of the reporters and the posters of Carmelo Anthony in a Bulls jersey.

Good on Rose for not recruiting anyway. I admire his old school mentality. If you want to come here, great. If not, **** you. Melo's b***** ass wasn't coming here anyway. Rose knew that. Why should he be paraded around to stroke another players ego. That's what coaches, owners, management and guys like Noah are for.

Good on you Rose. Come back better than ever man.

With all the anti-Melo to Chicago rhetoric out there the past couple of days you just have to believe the Bulls are probably a pretty big threat to Melo leaving New York and joining Chicago. Doesn't mean it will happen but other teams are probably worries the Chicago is ultimately where he lands.

Wonder if Phil's mouthpiece came up with this story on his own.

Hahahaha this is why I love Broussard. Dude is funny. I dont know how he has a job, but I am glad he does. provides comedic relief. He was on espn and said bulls hopes dwindling. So it is pretty much confirmed that Melo to Bulls haha.

None of this even matters. Carmelo was there, he knows how it went down. Broussard is just another idiot with bad sources talking out of his ass.

Thank you for your input. If you don't mind sharing, what is the consensus feeling at your employment -- that Melo goes to the Knicks?

@suntimes_hoops: Love the fact that so much was made of Rose turned "recruiter,'' but yet on Tuesday he showed up and was surprised to see 'Melo.

Sonny_D1 wrote:Are you done? And thankfully you aren't a GM either. Clearly, Jones isn't going to get any better. And you want to have a 20 PER player come off the bench until he's 27. And somehow giving a 31 year old PF that's merely a slight upgrade defensively and does nothing but stand behind the 3 point line a near max contract is a smart move. Oh and LMA's performance was all on Jones. Right. Never mind the other guys that are too lazy to play defense. The breakdown of their defense on on penetration had absolutely nothing to do with LMA's performance. It was all on Jones.

Anyway, I don't care about Houston and I no longer care about this conversation either. Good day and happy 4th to you sir.

You don't need to keep him coming off the bench until he's 27. You start him once he's better than Bosh if he ever is. This isn't that complicated and it's quite easy to do. You are making it a much bigger deal than it is. It blows my mind that you almost seem to be advocating not even spending the money they have on a 30 year old Bosh, but don't seem to be at all up in arms that they'd spend that money on a 30 year old Melo to replace Parsons. And for being around these forums so long, I would've thought you saw Bosh play more. I again need to repeat it cause you don't get it, but Bosh is forced into a different role in Miami.

Look at his scouting report:

One of the game’s best young post scorers. Gets about a quarter of his shots up from post ups with another fifth coming from each of spot ups, pick and rolls, and isolations. Has a decent left handed jumper that he can shoot with consistent range out to around 22-feet. Not a great catch and shoot option, but improving slowly. Has dramatically improved his ability to hit shots off the dribble. Still has some room to improve his jumper. Doesn’t have to rely on his jumper due to his tremendous quickness. Able to beat his man off the dribble regularly. Pretty good ball handler for a player his size. Tends to drive all the way to the rim rather than pull up when he puts the ball on the floor. Isn’t terribly effective when he gets cut off. Gifted post player. Likes to take turnarounds over his left shoulder and go to his hook over his right. Tends to get most of his touches on the right block. Length and quickness lets his get a ton of separation when he spins off his man at the rim. Has some nice up and under moves. More of a face up threat than a traditional back to the basket player. Has no trouble beating his man to the rim when he turns to face. Will create a lot of match-up problems with his quickness. Great finisher at the rim when he’s not posting up. Loves to dunk in traffic. Doesn’t finish with contact consistently, but won’t hesitate to try and get to the line. Shoots a ton of free throws and knocks them down at a very high rate. Ability to get to the line and foul shooting is what makes him so productive. Length makes him a good offensive rebounder. Turns the ball over when he gets too loose with the ball on his drives. About average as a passer. A very prolific option who should be a mainstay amongst the League’s top scorers at the power forward position. Still can refine his offensive skill package to some degree, mainly by improving his efficiency from the field. Improving his range.
Source

You are honestly completely ignorant to his actual strengths. You must have never seen him in Toronto either. Before he left, he shot 5.9 a game next to the rim and that dropped to 3.5 in Miami... 3-9 ft went from 3.3 to 2.2. His 3pt attempts have continuously gone up in Miami though cause that's what they force him to do. Your argument is a complete joke. We'll see if the "slight" defensive downgrade of Jones ever makes a single all-star game... much less even match what Bosh has done in his career.

@jon_greenberg: Rose is healthy and Melo got his free agency tour before getting his max $$$ from Knicks. Everything else is Twitter fodder.
