Swap Aminu and Leonard and you got yourself a deal.

Aminu has simply been way too important to the Blazers for them to consider that. Even if for some reason they did, if they include Aminu then they absolutely wouldnt add in a 1st, which is reportedly the Bulls primary asset they want in return for Niko.

Keep Leonard in, but maybe include Swanigan or 2nd rounder(s)?

I wouldnt be opposed to adding Swanigan.

Bulls take on a bunch of salary but get 2 1st round picks. They also get considerably worse, which is kind of the point.

Portland frees up capspace to try and sign a FA to pair with Damien Lillard and CJ McCollum.

Utah folds and gives up a 1st but are able to get 2 former 1sts (Valentine & Swanigan)

I think we got a winner here.

He's a bad contract.

I think Pax wants to keep RoLo around for mentoring. Don’t know if he’s shop him out to save 2M next season and lose 3M the following season

It's for the 1st Round Pick and Cheick Diallo.

RoLo's mentoring is worth less than that.

Preaching to the choir. I completely agree.

I think Pels will want Niko more than RoLo though.

I’d prefer trading roLo and Holiday... include Grant too. :)

I’d like to keep Niko for the draft. Trade him for a late lottery pick. Hopefully Knox falls to 14 and Niko can get him.

I’d love a tank for JJJ (think he goes #4 or later...GMs will love Bagley and Ayton more) and Niko for Knox.

Dunn/FA PG
Lavine/Val
Nwaba/Knox
Lauri/Portis
JJJ/Felicio

Probably a FA vet wing that can start too.

Yeah I feel like Chicago should either get Swanigan or keep Valentine.

On the whole, I guess it's pretty close though.

The only problem for Portland is that theyd be in a world of hurt at the SF position. Their depth chart at the 3 would be Aminu (whos most productive at PF) and.... thats it. They dont really have a big need for Favors, but to get out of Turners contract is too good to pass up. Turners not a terrible player, but he is a terrible fit in Portland.

Justin Holiday can play SF nowadays.

Yeah I feel like it's kind of a coup for Portland.

I would take the Pelicans' arsenal of garbage for TWO 1st round picks!

Hill, Asik, Ajianca, NOP 2018 (top-3 protected), NOP 2020 (top-7 protected)

FOR

Niko, Holiday, Grant, Zipser

They're not moving Hill or Asik anytime soon. That's a big chunk of cap!

If we are to get Asik's contract them ..
Niko + Holiday + Grant for Asik, Rondo (sorry Niko), Diallo and their unprotected 1st rounder

Rondo come to help the youngsters (he was enjoying doing it) and then we release him to go to a playoff team.
Since we wont have a 2nd rounder next year, Diallo fits the bill.

Sending holiday contract compensates the Asik salary plus Pels will have good use of him. And will enjoy playing with brother: Instant chemistry!

Other option
Lopez + Niko + Holiday (FULL TANK MOVE) for Solomon Hill (injured), Asik (ill), Diallo and a filler (300k missing)

With this trade we not only get Pels 1st round but we get a 4th pick or so of our own.
not close to my first choice, but the outcome isn't bad.

Belf wrote:Hornets get:

Bulls draft Trae Young and are left with Nwaba and Dunn to protect him on defense. Young and LaVine probably can't coexist in the same back court because they would bleed too much on defense. Because of that, we would need to let go of LaVine (or make him a 20 million dollar bench unit leader). Batum slides into starting SF slot, Kaminsky learns from RoLo for a year before taking over starting job. Charlotte keeps Kemba, dumps Batum's salary, and gets to decide whether or not to keep LaVine in RFA. Niko and LaVine help them space the floor. Pipe dream?

I would break the phone slamming it down so hard. I wouldn’t do that deal even if we got the Hornets pick.

Let's reduce the protection, el capitan. Maybe give us Cheick Diallo too.

I am feeling sorry for New Orleans so I decided I will help them.
Lopez, Holiday and Grant for Cousins.

We get Cousins Bird rights. If he is recovered and going to stay, we have our center. if he leaves or doesn't recover well, we have 20M cap in hands to use.

They want Mirotic instead of RoLo, have him. It would be liking trading Niko for a upgraded draft pick and we would still have Cousins rights.

Note: he will take 6 to 10 months to recover. That means, he wont be health when free agency starts. Its going to be interesting to see if a team will offer him full max since he is injured.

So Memphis is done. Not that I like it, but I wonder if taking on that POS contract of Chandler would get us their 1st? We could soften the blow if we include Felicio in package back.

I don't see NO moving Cousins. They need him to contend with this current team, and despite the injury it's a worthwhile gamble for them. I don't think Lopez, Holiday, or Grant moves the needle much for them.

However, I have heard that they will be aggressive in adding talent via trade. Maybe we could send them Niko for a 1st round pick + Asik? We could maybe throw Holiday in there too, but they would have to add some more salary to make it match.
