What would it take to get Markkanen? Assuming Hayward, LaMelo and Bridges are off the table

Would be interested in Graham for sure. I think there should be a deal that makes sense for both sides.

Opinions will be all over the place and we truly don't have a good idea of the front office's thinking. For many of us, your first round pick plus filler would get it done.

No need to debunked fact that Lavine is volume scorer, horrible defender, bad playmaker with low iq, turnover prone who is part of the problem for Bulls not future cornerstone. He as best player dont influence in Bulls winning games. I saw much more better players in Bulls unoforme through years than Lavine. What is so fascinating about Lavine? I just dont see him as franchise type of player and that is contract he will ask in 2022. You can think about Lavine as all nba player and superstar i don't share your opinion. Nothing personel, Lavine seems like great person outside of basketball but i dont like him as Bulls best player, because with him as your best player, you are not even playoff team.gobullschi wrote:Kukoc-Lauri wrote:Cool, i am enjoying Lavine historical run with Bulls, we are only have Zach for 4 season now. Still waiting for that milestone 30 season win. We are just piece away of being contenders. Playoff Lavine is on another level, just wait him to makes him first playoffs. He is still 26 yo.gobullschi wrote:
Look at their per 36 number (since Ellis averages a whopping 41.4 MPG) in the year your referencing.
Monta Ellis:
22.19 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 5.3 APG .449 FG% & .338% 3P%
Zach LaVine:
28.5 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 5.4 APG .519 FG%, & .430% 3P%
Ricky Davis:
18.7 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 5 APG .410 FG%, & .363 3P%
If you can’t understand just how awful your comparisons are, I can’t help you. You’re just a hater.
So now that I debunked your narrative that Zach is a poor volume scorer ala Monta Ellis/Ricky Davis, you’re going to pivot to the other poor narrative that it’s LaVine’s fault that the Bulls have had a poor record? This narrative has already been debunked too.

Yeah I think we're good trade partners.
Lauri or WCJ as potential targets for you.
And we'd be interested in Graham or 1st rounders.

First round pick from Charlotte, with top five protection at maximum, or lottery protected first with Graham and Mcdaniels as fillers.amcoolio wrote:What would it take to get Markkanen? Assuming Hayward, LaMelo and Bridges are off the table

I do not want to trade Markkanen but if we where too I would call Atl and try for a Lauri for Collins trade.
ATL does not want to pay Collins for some reason, Lauri would be cheaper to resign and fits in well with Young and Capela.
Collins would be a huge help for Lavine and we can start moving forward to fixing the team.

Jalen McDaniels + 2021 1st (2021 - lottery protected, 2022-2024 - top 10 protected, 2025 turns into 2 second rounders)

I think it’s coming down to that Collins is more consistent and athletic than Lauri if you gonna pay Lauri then pay Collins instead

Collins will demand a max contract. Lauri wanted 20M. Is Collins really that much better?

I’d only take on Blake Griffin’s contract if Jerami Grant or lightly protected 1st were included.

John Collins? I'd rather have him over Lauri / Coby. We still need Wendell for some semblance of interior defense
I'd start with offering them Lauri + filler
It's just mind-boggling that Bulls fans seem to think Collins is worth getting for his defense.![]()
The guy is an undersized, short-armed interior defender who's not switchable on the perimeter. His D has always been the main knock against him, not some great skill. Watch the games.
JC is ranked #11 in the league in DRPM and #34 in defensive raptor. His defense has absolutely improved and 6’10 (in shoes) is not undersized for PF.

Depending on the return, I’d consider it. There are not many free agents I’m interested in next summer, and it’s only one year after this one.

He’s a RFA and nobody gonna give him a Max so he’s either gonna sign lower than asking or risk and sign the qualifying . He’s about 5 million better than Lauri advanced stats offensively there’s a gap between the two.

He’s definitely going to get the max. He’s been asking for it and plenty of teams have the money. I could see Dallas offering it.

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
I think Collins will get a max. It's not about Collins, it's about the market. 3/4 of the league was building cap space for '21, including Chicago, and the FA class disappeared. I'm reading lists now where Lauri Markkanen is near the top of realistic free agents that will actually change teams, with Otto on the tier below him.
Atlanta spent a lot of money already, Gallo-Bogdanovic-Capela cost $54M per year, while Trae & Hunter & Cam & Collins are all still on rookie scale. I can see where they don't want to overpay and be cautious about their contracts.
Chicago OTOH, has nobody worth paying other than Lavine, and I assume Thad is not part of the future. Overpaying for Collins just means we're not overpaying Felicio types just to get to our roster minimum. In terms of we have to pay someone, Collins would be better than guys like Jabari which is how used our cap space in the past.

If Pistons wants to dump Griffin, we have cap space next year. I would consider Otto Porter Jr., Chandler Hutchinson, Cristiano Felicio, Luke Kornet, Ryan Arcidiacono for Blake Griffin, Seyku Doumboya and two second round picks from Detroit.

SECOND round picks?!
They can keep Blake then.

Let be real. It is about Seyku. Seyku and Pat if developed is Anonuby/Siakam type of players. If Bulls draft Kumminga or J.Johnson or S.Barnes we would finally have three two way athlethic wings forwards we starve for years. Blake is just filling Otto's place, Seyku is basically 20 yo loterry pick.He was youngest Nba player last season and is still more on the bench, so he would be realistic target imo. Dont expect Pistons frp or Grant, they are more valuable than fillers for bad contract.Little Nathan wrote:Kukoc-Lauri wrote:If Pistons wants to dump Griffin, we have cap space next year.
