I'm not paying to read the article, but SGs that aren't good enough offensively to play PG, are too small to be a wing, and are bad defensively have a rough time becoming productive NBA players.

Coby and Zach are two successful examples of this kind of prospect working out, but we've seen how limiting these kinds of players are and that the upside isn't always there.

So, if Miami wins a playoff spot do the Bulls draft at 11?

Miami is currently at 11 and will select outside of the lottery if they make it. Also, Dallas (same record) is 2-0 vs Bulls this season.

If Coby and Zach are deemed successes, let's draft something other than a SG. Half-joking aside. The small SG is a problematic position in the same way that a non-rim protecting C is. You end up needing to cover up their deficiencies elsewhere, where it's often not possible. For example a guy like Coby who isn't a viable playmaker or defender forces you to use other slots for those, which makes it harder to, for example, put a true #1 option on the floor (assuming that guy is an average or worse defender, which many are).

Thoughts on Hansen Yang.

Solid poster on draft board calls him best big in the draft and Sengun 2.0.

Both Miami and Dallas would have to win in order for the Bulls to be guaranteed the 11th spot in the lottery.

If Dallas loses they'd have to have a tie breaker to see who gets an extra combination.

Odds are good both Maimi and Dallas win tonight.

I'm confident Miami can win.

I'm skeptical Dallas can beat Memphis.

So he's still playing.

The Mavs are without Kyrie and a starting PG in general.

I hope they can pull it off, but I'm still skeptical.

It’s more important for Miami to win but obviously better if Dallas wins as well.

If Dallas loses tonight, why would they move ahead of Bulls for a better pick? Same record, they advanced further in the plan-in, and the beat the Bulls twice.

Your question is confusing but...if Dallas wins they make the playoffs so the coin flip doesn't matter

I thought that because Dallas beat us twice, there would be no need for a coin toss.

Here's a couple of games he played during last summer league.

There's a lot to like, Yang has great size, great footwork, and very good touch and court vision. Of course, he'll be a work in progress on defense. If you're Brooklyn with a bunch of first round picks or Phoenix at the end of the first round, why the hell not? If Hansen Yang is still on the board when the Bulls pick in the second round, take him and develop him. I would trade the lottery protected pick from Portland and our second round pick for one of the Nets late first round picks. Personally, I feel the same way about Rocco Ziikarsky. Why the hell not?

A 7'5" wingspan is intriguing. Looks like he could play small ball 5, should be decent PnR defender, good transition player, and decent from 3.

His playmaking is absolutely terrible tho.

If we can't find a way to make a trade I could live with roll of the dice on him.
