It was Lauri's quote. Also I never saw him compliment the Bulls' strength and conditioning program.

Lauri is a RFA, he's also not going to say anything negative about himself.

It's really a nothing quote.

But when Zach LaVine puts out videos of himself WORKING OUT VERY HARD, they're practically pieces of investigative journalism...

No they're not and what's LaVine got to do with this?

Actually it's not. My conclusions from that quote is actually the strengths and type of player skills that Lauri is aiming to improve during this practice season without seeing any training videos. It's easy to read that he is not aiming to become a brick type of power center(malone/shaq/stacey/towns) with 50 pounds muscle weight increase but instead focus on mobility kind of features. No it's a nothing quote, like all training reports.

If we can get Derozan we are a top 5 team in the East and a Conf contender.

Or we could trade Lauri to MIN for Vanderbilt and a pick.

Raps for Achiuwa and a TPE?

OKC for a pick and TPE?

Derozan if we can swing it. PWill at the 4 feels like it caps his ceiling but probably his better position now anyway, with some minutes at the 3. If we S&T Lauri wouldn't we still have the MLE to fill the 4... though I don't know who we could use it on now.

If not I'm ok with Lauri back for 3 years at 14m/yr. Will be tradeable if he can stay sort of healthy.

Confirms that the Bulls' strength and conditioning program wasn't the right fit for Lauri.
Normally I'd say he's just gassing himself up, but then he again he did post a video of himself effortlessly dunking from behind the FT line...

If Lauri has regained the athleticism he had his first two years, or even improved upon it, then he's definitely worth keeping around because that raises his ceiling significantly. I think we can all agree he seemed to have lost some of that athleticism the past two years after bulking up.

What do you expect someone to say about a player he's training? "He's looking s*** and slow as f***".

That's the same fluff piece that gets put out about every player, don't be surprised if someone reports a player like Anthony Edwards shot up to 6'10 and grew wings.
Did you not see the video of him effortlessly dunking from behind the FT line? You can't fake that, and no chance in hell he would have been capable of that the last two years.

I believe it also. You could easily see the decline in his mobility the last two seasons. The shots that he was contesting before (barely but still) became just him flailing his arms. The dunks we saw earlier in his career became consistent "almost but not quite dunks".

If he's gotten his previous mobility back, watch out

I've been saying all along...dude got too heavy and slow footed. Glad someone other that this entire board pointed it out to him. Sadly, it won't matter to us after he's gone, and that sounds like a nearly done-deal. I guess it can be our consolation prize if we can't trade him, but at least the tone sounds positive.

His name is what I would imagine the opposite of Lauri's name would be

My point was that many free agents don't take a risk with injuries and just rest before they sign a contract. I'm just glad Lauri wasn't one of them.
