The bulls got exposed by the triple tower of bucks bobby portis, giannis, lopez. All can defend and pack paint and can shoot threes.

Trading for gobert who can defend but cant make threes or sticking to vucevic who can shoot but cant defend wont help the bulls..

With all that said, the bulls should focus on getting a big man who can defend and make threes.I have no idea why the bulls let go of bobby portis instead of mirotic. Portis can play sf, pf, c and can defend and shoot threes.

Most of the prospects in this draft are project players and I dont think they will solve bulls problem because they are commited to win now situation. Trading for a center who can defend and make threes is the solution.

But moving forward I can see Chet holmgren, hukporti, makur maker, kai sotto, or tank to get victor wembayana (i think hes the best prototype of the future bigman who can do all things a guard to center can do at a high level)

Bobby Ports can defend now?

Also the Bulls traded Mirotic before they traded Portis so you could say they let go of Mirotic over Portis.

As for a defending big who can shoot, that sounds like Myles Turner and/or Mo Bamba, both of which I'd welcome on the Bulls.

Nah. Think he’s way too skinny and slow.

That’s what I meant by less athletic, though that may have been an understatement. He looks like a wet noodle. Barely clears the rim on some of these wide open dunks.

I like the handle at his size. He’s pretty fluid all around. Though, going highlight vs highlight - since I’ve seen neither live - Patrick Baldwin Jr looks he has a much cleaner path to an NBA role.

Less of a scorer/shooter but a better playmaker. Like a poor mans Lamar Odom maybe.

MPJ is already one of most unathletic people in NBA. I How much less athletic Dieng is? Like Denzel? I am not following college ball.

MPJ is an elite, elite scorer.

Dieng looks very meh to me unless his wingspan comes back insane.

If we're rolling the dice on a projectable wing/forward, I'd prefer Leonard Miller.

I know that Schmitz has a lot of experience, but these types of workouts? I would never be able to tell jack squat and would put zero stock into these sort of "play against chair" thingies. Except for the extraordinary few of crazy special players, they all look the same to me in this type of setting. Now when guys are competing against each other, that's a bit more interesting, but nothing beats real game action and footage.

Big Man. Defend. Shoot Threes. Rinse repeat.

I'm about winning right now because the future is unpredictable as f*ck. There is no sure thing even among the names you listed. Yes, I love to have one of these kids, to develop from the bench, among a team of playoff vets. That prospect is not Chet Holmgren or Victor Wembayana. You make it sound easy for us to get either one of them.

Why did you bring up tanking? That doesn't work especially with the current draft odds.

I think we have a realistic shot at getting Kai Sotto since not many people are checking him; Kai is projected 2nd rounder. Also, there is nothing wrong with getting Rudy Gobert who is a SURE THING on the defensive side. I'm also on board to get Brandon Clarke from the Memphis Grizzlies.

We can't trade it, but on draft night, we can pre-agree to trade the guys who are picked and direct those picks.

But in this instance, we'd be getting picks 2022 picks back so wouldn't that be okay? I mean, we just need to have a 1st round pick in this draft, right?

This is my understanding, we can't do a trade that would leave us without a pick in consecutive drafts, if we just swapped the pick for picks in this draft, we're still in the draft and the rule isn't broken.

We can trade the pick as long as we still have a 1st rounder in this draft.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Trading Coby for a pick improvement would be fine if AK had high conviction, but even moving to a top 10 pick doesn't do much to excite me.

That does to me. That's a massive deal to, perhaps, get Tari Eason? I do this quickly if possible.

Update: Tari Eason is a Top 5 pick (maybe Top 3) in my opinion; 6'8" Power Forward.

Cons:
Turnover prone
Over dribbles
Gets tunnel vision
Gets in foul trouble
Bad facilitator despite having handles
Needs to slow down the game for himself

Pros:
Efficient.
Has a lot of handles and iso moves. He's definitely a ball handler.
Gifted defensive player; one of the best in the 2022 Draft.
Good rebounder
Steals monster; extremely unique trait for a big man. He's also elite at this.
Dominates advanced defensive stats
Can hit threes.
Good free throw shooter.
Knows how to draw fouls.
Gym rat; great worker
Natural scorer

If AKME can package away Coby White + 18th pick for Tari Eason, I think we got a smash hit in our hands.

2nd Update: Observing NBADraft.net and Tankathon, Eason might land to us at number 18 naturally.

No, on draft night we can trade it without getting a 2022 first back. We just can’t do it before the draft. Just as an example: the last time the Lakers left draft night with a prospect picked in the first round was 2018 (Moe Wagner). They just keep trading their picks on draft night (Schröder deal in 2020, Westbrook deal in 2021 etc.)
