I guess I'm not like most Bulls fans, but when I see Nate fire up his instant offense in blowouts, I think to myself "this is why you are in the league, so in a sense it's what you're supposed to do"

And when I see him be a total turnstile on the other end right after a big basket, I think to myself "this is why I dont care that much whether you're on my team or not."

This will be our 2nd double digit loss of the season....

Yet how many games have the Bulls lost because nobody could make a shot in the 4th?

I just have this feeling that Derrick Rose will help with that...

If I was anywhere in the world the last thing I'd want to hear is that song.

Its obvious it would be absolutely stupid to cut Robinson. But I cannot confidently say we arent stupid.

Dropping Nate would be like a team that lacks rebounding dropping a player that is a great rebounder.

But still Asik was a guy who Thibs often closed out games with and was a big part of the Bulls bench. So what do you do? I agree the Bulls didn't think through what could possibly happen on the open market with Asik. But hindsight is 20-20 to say they should've traded him during a time where the Bulls were trying to win a title.

It's tough but the Bulls' front office should have known that a team like Houston could structure a deal like that. By all signs, the Bulls were completely blindsided by Houston's offer. It was a serious miscalculation.

weren't they trying? All I remember is a Courtney Lee offer from Rockets. Like that would get us to the finals.

**** em. Thats as simple as I can put it. You can't run a team well with the fans getting a vote in the war room.

I took the fact that we didn't trade either of them before the deadline as a sign that we would keep them both. Before the deadline? Hell yeah trade the **** out of them if something great can be received in exchange.

I really wish that besides Courtney Lee, we had a better idea of what players were available and offered.

Go dig up some of my posts from this time a year ago. Believe me, I was saying move Omer and Taj for a Dwight or Love. No hindsight whatsoever.

Polynice4Pippen wrote:Kendrick Perkins was Boston's starting center. Asik, as good as he is, was our 4th big man. And we needed more offense anyway. Made sense to move him to me but hey... I believe in packaging valuable backup pieces like Omer, Taj, Butler, Teague etc... before they become too expensive to be backups anymore. Especially with an owner who's not about to pay the luxury tax.

I agree too, but Asik helped make the Bulls a really, really good team. Ideally you want to move him when you feel you can't re-sign him, but unless you get back a package that includes another big, you probably get worse and don't satisfy that goal.

So it depends on what you want. Short-term loss for a long-term gain. Long-term loss for a short-term gain. The Bulls took the latter.

Rose or bust in the 4th quarter? We're really going to rely on that formula again in the playoffs? Rose on a recovering knee vs. the Heat's juggernauts...like that's going to end well.

Anyone else find it funny how Nate goes crazy whenever he makes a bucket even though his team is down 20?

Pax gets too attached to his scrubs

EVERYBODY saw this coming from Kirk. Except the guy that, you know, actually gets paid to make these kinds of decisions.

D-Rose wanted him on the team and Hinrich was the first guy he recruited.

Noah and Thibs wanred him too.

Another good example of why coaches and players aren't the most reliable talent evaluators. The GM should be able to determine what is in the best interest of the organization, without being influenced from personell.

Teague needs 15-20 minutes a night. Period.

No way they were blindsided, they knew it was coming, Gar was hush hush about Omer for weeks before.
What could they have done, trade him, to who? What was the market? There was no market because every GM and their mother saw Houston eying the hammer with their massive cap space.

Omer developed one year too soon, and that my friends is unfortunate.
