its going to be funny when melo signs for the super max in new york after all his talk of taking less money so whatever team he is on can add more talent..La La must have put her foot down as hard as an elephant after he said that and sent him to his room without dessert....

I would love to see what that video looks like.

Melo dodging basketballs in super slow motion and then running through a bus with a Bulls logo on it, when it explodes it rains cash.

not only did the lockout screw us that way....the result of it forced the season to be pushed back and made it a condensed season.....which really did a number on Rose and couldve been a contributing factor into him tearing his ACL because his body was trying to compensate

so to put it bluntly that lockout was the worst thing that ever happened to us

@mcten: Movie producer Joel Silver was a part of the LAL presentation to Melo, making a short film about him and speaking to him about the industry

Oh you mean that thing that definitely happened and not just some tweet from a cousin whose mom knows melo's cornrower?

I'm not saying it definitely happened...I'm just saying they make sense in the same universe.

Correct. It was not a mistake. It was a no-brainer.

it was a mistake with hindsight, as was the Boozer contract

Boozer was a mistake. The Rose thing would be done by any GM 1000 times over. You need a superstar in the NBA, and the Bulls have one when healthy.

That Derrick Rose extension has been nothing but a huge mistake so far

Honestly, I'm not sure many GMs wouldn't have done the same thing. I don't think anyone honestly thought two consecutive injured seasons were coming.

True but if the Bulls would have wanted him to take less than the super max Smith, Simmons, Bucher and every other talking head would've called them cheap.
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

Either way, the bulls are an better team next season.

I'm accepting the fact that this FO did their best no matter the outcome.

Unless we sign Luol Deng again. Then I give up.

"The same universe" omg I love that! Best piece of spin of all time!

Bucher should have used that one

Please explain to me how that crackpot theory explains Noah telling people that Melo is going to NY, if that actually did happen.

Because Melo would have recruited Noah to join up with him when his contract is over...It's how Noah knows he's staying...And it would explain why Noah doesn't give a **** telling randoms what's going on.

I think you are reading way too much into a baseless Twitter rumor and crackpot theory posted on a message board, personally.

No, because they would have used the extra space to pay Kirk more, as a reward for his "scrappiness".

He has an automatic Thrust bonus built into every contract. It pays in gristle and gasoline
