I would guess Lebron might take a paycut to get Zach or Demar there too…definitely think the Lakers and Clips are prime destinations for both of our guys

I think they’d do that if it was Hood Shifino instead of Knecht.

I wouldn’t unless it was Knecht.

Dominick Barlow is a FA, I'd love to pick him up on a 2-way.

Back-up center options I like:

Jalen Smith
Thomas Bryant
Andre Drummond
Day'Ron Sharpe (trade)
Orlando Robinson (trade)
Jaxson Hayes (trade)
Christian Wood (trade)
James Wiseman

I think it's worth it. Now we need to play him

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Basically, it’s Rui, DLo and pick 17. That doesn’t sound as good as putting Knecht’s name in there.

Might as well do something like that and move on. It’s not great but atleast if you get a couple of good players in return that are starter level then it’s totally fine. Forget picks that ain’t happening.

DLo shot 41% on 3s last season. We could use some of that.

I'd imagine they'd look for a 3rd team to move D'Lo to, there isn't much room in the backcourt with Ayo, Giddey, Coby, Ball*, Carter and Bitim. Granted the last 3 probably won't play much, D'Lo probably shouldn't be retained.

I thought I read that CP3 agreed to extend that deadline until Monday?

EDIT: Oops, it’s Sunday. You are right.

You were right, I'm just in the wrong time zone.

We are in the future! If we get CP3 we can waive him before his guaranteed and have 30m cap space right? Or trade somewhere I suppose.

No, if the Warriors decide to opt into his deal it is then guaranteed, the Warriors have until the start of free agency to decide.

He'd either be bought out or maybe traded elsewhere, probably the former.

Still, CP3's contract, plus either GP2 or Moody plus an FRP (hopefully 2025), would be fine by me.

Who would be likely team wanting CP3?
Spurs?

I don't think there'd be any team wanting CP3 at 30m, unless some team wants to drop 30m in capspace next season.

Otherwise he'd probably already be traded.

Honestly out of everyone out there, Saddiq Bey is the most baffling situation to me.

Why does no one want this guy?

He was really good in Detroit. Had a 51pt game in his second season. Gets traded in year 3. Maybe understandable since they also had Cade.

Atlanta gets him and he does good there too. He didn't have the best shooting year last year with Atlanta but started 51 games before he tore is ACL.

Even before he tore his ACL, Atlanta was looking to trade him. Still don't understand why.

I know he isn't the best shooter or defender, but he is a decent player. People will probably stay away because he will be in rehab most of this season. But I can see him getting a chance on a team next year but at like a vet min.

Can someone explain this means we offered him an NBA contract, not a 2-way? I have no problem with him as our 3rd string C. If he can get his weight down, I think he's got backup potential. But he's got to be more than a Felicio, below the rim sort of guy.

Everything I know regarding Bey is that he had solid stats but overall is not good. And idk what to believe frankly lol.

Getting JHS is like getting last year's FRP, he still has the promise that he had on draft night a year ago, the Lakers just had no minutes for a rookie as they tried to make the playoffs. He fits in age wise with the players the Bulls have under contract.

The issue is Russell, OK someone says he shot 41% on 3's last year. Great, start explaining who sits so he can play, Giddey, Coby or Ayo, plus JHS coming in the trade. Those guys are the future while DLo is an expiring contract you basically took to move off Zach's contract, find your starting PF and a delayed FRP. What is a very unhappy veteran on the bench worth, he wants to play so he show some team he's worth a multi year contract next summer, maybe as a starter even.

Add to that, Jevon Carter and Dalen Terry, still on the roster, still guards not forwards, nailed to the bench.

Has DLo even exercised his option? He'd have to be rerouted somewhere else since we dont opportunity for him, but I can't imagine he'd opt in just to get traded.
