Maybe it's just me but I would surely take BG back. He would be the perfect for us with Boozer inside and with Noah's emergence.

Did I miss something? Aren't Morrow, Reddick, Brewer, Childress, and Korver still out there?

Yeah but Reddick and Morrow are both restricted.. Brewer isn't a shooter, I don't even know if you can even consider Childress. Korver is about the only guy that's sign-able and he's kinda meh..

In other words, perhaps one of our collateral targets, out of many, is gone and you started weeping. Correct?

The perfect scenario is to get a defensive oriented SG that can shoot the 3 extremely well like what Bruce Bowen did for the Spurs as a SF. Either that or just get an absolute dynamic scoring SG. I really like Monta Ellis and part of me wants to see a super athletic backcourt with him and DRose but my brain says he's not a good fit despite his ball handling skills and driving ability. I highly doubt GS would even be willing to trade him anyways but just a thought.

I still have this odd feeling Lebron and Wade are going to take significant pay cuts to fill out the roster. The globalization of basketball was great for the popularity of the game, but the subsequent marketing blitz that spawned from it has given the players all the power. Lebron and Wade make way too much money off the court to care about sacrificing a couple million in their contracts.

The conspiracy theorist in me says Miami is paying these guys under the table so they still get their money. No way any one of those three players take that huge of a paycut without something be up.

I'll be honest, that sounds a lot more plausible than all of them taking huge pay cuts. Especially Mr. I want 6 years I don't get endorsements Bosh.

How the **** can you compete against that?

Watch a world cup or olympics. The so called "dream teams" that are even better than that because they have a great bench barely beat Spain, Argentina, Lituania.
You have to play smart basketball and great defense.

If its any consolation, I think he's kinda overrated. And where is he gonna start?

In fact, I don't see how he will be a bigger contributor than Beasley. I think its a flat out downgrade in on court production. Off court is a different story...

They have $1.8M left over after the Beasley deal. $6M starting for Miller - $1.8M = $4.2M. They would have to accept ~$1.4M less during the first year. Over five years if would be around a $8M difference. If they win championships they can easily make up that difference.

Beasley trade exception if they wait to finalize the trade.

I think it's far from a downgrade. Talent loss, yes. But Beasley talent was not getting them wins. It might have one day. They didn't want to wait. Miller will take only the shots he should take, make the passes he should make, and he'll try to defend nightly, unlike Beasley, where it was optional on any given Sunday.

You might want to check out Mike Miller's stats before you talk. He's one of the most productive players in the league. His True Shooting Percentage (TS%) is around 60%, which is up there with Lebron James and Chris Bosh.

I don't know, Miami isn't all that big inside. Boston, Orlando, Lakers and hell, even Bulls now with Boozer can just pound them on the boards if they don't get a little more size. But man, on the perimeter Miami is unreal. Heat need to get another big guy or 2.
