Even if they talk, it's mostly when there is big news like Reggie Rose's comments or just talk very superficially like the Bulls need another star. I guess there is no appetite for basketball with their listeners or they are analyzing their ratings the wrong way.
The two big stars on the Bulls history is amazing...one is probably the most famous athlete in the world and the other one is a local kid who is becoming an international star. But both sports stations want to talk about a team like the White Sox most of the time who can't even fill their stadium.
I would love to see one of these stations employ a smart ex-NBA player as one of the hosts. Somebody who just doesn't tell stories but also can analyze the games would be nice.
I think they used to use guys like Paxson and Kerr, but they got bigger and better jobs. Just not a lot of ex-NBAers that are good enough as analysts and don't already have a better job.
As far as coverage, I agree that the Bulls get the short end of the stick. I don't mind the Bears coverage as much, because I'm a fan, but the seemingly endless baseball coverage is too much.
