If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

I like having goons on the roster. One small criticism I've had about the Bulls under Paxson is that we've been a little bit too classy when it comes to physicality.

We don't need to be three deep at every position and I can't remember the last time we went into a season with a full 15-man roster.

Besides, even if a guy like Mike James gets cut out of camp, he'll probably be the first guy we look at if we get injuries to the back court (knock on wood).

As far as Dahntay Jones goes, I just don't want him on my team.

It comes down to White or Pittman for me, with a guy like James being on an "as needed" basis.

Agreed. Until we play the Heat then all of the sudden we want to rumble while losing the ability to play sound basketball.

Well actually he doesn't shoot that many threes, or make much of anything anymore. 6.4 PER last year, sub .500 TS%. I guess only one way to go from that.

A little over analyzation of the 15th guy, no?

We have two guys who I'm comfortable with dribbling the ball.

Two.

Rose and Butler. Not really sure if I can count Dunleavy yet. It's a pretty legit concern.

I'm fine with Hinrich handling the ball also.

You're not comfortable with Kirk Hinrich dribbling the basketball?

Jo is also elite at ball handling for his position.

I would include Hinrich, Teague, and even Deng and Dunleavy too. And Noah's about the best ball handling center as well. Maybe not guys who are going to regularly create their own shot off the dribble, but they can do some stuff with the ball without it being disastrous (most of the time anyway).

Don't forget Hinrich.

And I certainly hope the Bulls fo isn't depending on anything from the 15th (who Likely will be inactive most the games) player to give us anything let alone play making. That would be kind of depressing.

I wonder if it's a guaranteed deal or like a make good camp tryout?

Given the other top teams in the East, it makes some sense, but he seems a bit redundant. He's not very good at all really and hopefully won't play much, but it is another person who can get vet minutes over Snell dev minutes.

Bulls have a ton of guys that can handle the ball( rose, butler, deng, hinrich, teague, snell, noah, dunleavy), the main thing is getting more shooting out there. Jones is a guy that dont back down from anyone and is athletic(he has posterized his share of people, and can shoot the 3. I take that any day of the week.

What a bizarre spelling of 'Dante', 'Dahntay' is. I don't get "hipster" parents at times.

Jones can't shoot the three though. He's a career .334 shooter from deep on only 0.5 attempts per game. The most threes he's ever made in a season is 33...

The guy's a good defender and has some athleticism. That's it. He probably won't even make the team.

I want D.J. White (he was solid for the Cats a couple of seasons ago) and if we don't get White then Pittman (we need another big).

Jones is pretty redundant, but he seems to annoy the guy he defends so that is something, I guess.

We already don't have minutes for Teague so I don't want Lucas or James.

Unless Jones has a really good camp/preseason, I see the Bulls only signing either White or Pittman.

Not sure why it is important to discuss the capabilities of camp fodder. There is zero chance that Jones, or any wing, gets that 13th spot. It will be a big man that takes a non guaranteed contract, so he can be exchanged if a better player becomes available. I think is is as likely, as not, that the guy that leaves camp, with that contract, is not even currently on the roster. If not a late cut from another roster, the guy is very unlikely to ever see the court, much less stay all season.
