Yeah...It's about time JR calls in another favor to Silver like he did with Rose in 08.

Cus we all know that it was awfully "convenient" how we went from 14th (I think) to #1 to get Rose who just so happens to be from Chicago. ;)

If they want to show the winner last they can always make every team have a random letter from A-N(14 teams),then just do the ping pong balls live with letters without revealing which letters the teams are,and at the end show who won the same way from last to first.

2 reasons:

1. The actual lottery process is long, boring and terrible for TV.
2. The NBA turned it into a TV spot and they're trying to sell surprise and excitement, which is only accomplished by the big reveal.

The lottery isn't rigged. Independent auditors and representatives watch the actual lottery. Also, after each lottery, the video of the actual process is uploaded to NBA.com so you can fall asleep on it.

There will always be theories because some players have landed with their hometown organizations, but if you do the process enough, coincidences like that are bound to happen.

Well if Bulls got lucky and draft Simmons they can then trade him down for Dunn, Hield or Ingram plus another pick/player

My eyes can not unsee this suggestion, nor can my brain forget it.

If the Bulls luck into Ben Simmons and trade down for Buddy Hield, I will officially quit on this team.

And really, people always find a way to twist around why the draft was rigged to get so and so player to a certain destination.

What to do then......?

do not want to draft another Dragon, I think we're still waiting on the last one to be eligible for a buy out

I'm scared that with Gasol and likely Noah gone, we're gonna go for size wherever we pick....

for sure, can't wait, love this thing and the month of speculation before the actual draft.

If Bulls got #5 and those guys were gone Id trade it to a team with two first round picks

That to me would seem like an awful idea

This league is run by superstars....take the best shot at a superstar.

Think out of the box and trade Butler to 76-ers for Noel, 2nd and 4th ;) :D

If Philly gets the 1 or 2 and 4 and can draft Simmons/Ingram and Dunn then the 76ers should fire Colangelo and rehire Hinkie.

Our odds of getting the top pick are about 0.8%, but I think our odds of getting a top 3 pick are 1.8%. After that, I'm pretty sure we're basically stuck at 14.

So you're saying the pick can't be 13,10,5 etc but only top 3 or 14? That's bs lol what kind of system is this.

Same as it has been for a long time. Top 3 picks are via lottery, the remaining is order of finish. That balances such that the team with the worst record is guaranteed no lower than #4. All 14 teams have varying chances of getting into the top 3, but those are the only slots eligible for the lottery.

Since the Bulls are the lottery team with the best record, there's no one who can jump ahead of them. Therefore either they move up or they get #14.

If they move up, by nature it can only be to one of the top 3. Therefore Bulls move up = top 3, Bulls dont' move up = #14.

Hoiberg was repping the Wolves at the draft lottery back in 2008.

If the Bulls get ridiculously lucky and get the #1 pick they need to trade it, attach Dunleavy, Snell & Bairstow and trade it to the team willing to give them the best package because when I see Beasley...I mean Simmons I see a bust, the guy is severely overrated in my opinion

Would the Clippers give up Griffin and their pick for a package of Taj, Dunleavy, Snell, Bairstow and the #1 pick?

So excited. So this is BEFORE the Cavs game starts, not something they are going to do at halftime, right?

I still feel like there is some hoodoo voodoo happening in that back room. Ewing to NY, LeBron to CLE and Rose to Chicago are just to perfect to just 'happen' You need that perfect combo of a crappy team and a hometown savior and they just can't resit....

I think someone is gonna make a play and move up for Heild, I'd love to snag him at #3

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

So we are trading a #1 pick we can lock in for 8 years for a guy who can walk and sign with another team after next season? Is the goal to clear the most cap space possible? Why not attach Jimmy too? That would clear $75MM off the books
