Miles or Mikal Bridges would be a complete steal but I doubt the Pelicans fall off that quickly. I say the pick will be most likely be #12 at the lowest. More like 14-16... I say we go for Robert Williams

Let's hope the Pels falter because he is a bad fit in their system. Then we can re-sign Niko as a FA in 2019, at a reasonable price, and bring him home where he belongs! It will end up being just a 17-month hiatus in Niko's Kukoc-like career as a great Bulls scoring big off the bench.

Well, we'll see how NOP does. Hopefully Niko doesn't actually make them better. That team really needed a 3P shooting boost, and they just got one. I like Cousins and think he's amazingly talented and really stuffs the stat-sheet, but he doesn't have a track record of winning games.

Even if the Pelicans do worse without Cousins, I don't see a Western Conference team out of the playoffs that could pass them. It would have to be either the Clippers or the Jazz which I just don't see.

NO is currently 27-23. Remaining schedule... 32 games.

16 road games, 16 home games

19 games against teams .500 or greater, 13 games against teams below .500

Considering myself a temporary Nuggets, Clippers, & Jazz fan until years end. Praying they slip from that 7-8 seed and we land #14 worst case scenario.

Imo, there's a prospect dropoff around 12-13, so if we can get at or close to that dropoff and in the latter case either hope someone drops or trade up, this trade will be a massive win.

I'm talking landing one of Knox, Carter, Walker, pretty much.

I love Robert Williams, having a bit of a down year, and honestly wouldnt be shocked if he returned again. Miles Bridges seems to be falling a bit from the boards I've seen. If we land early/mid teens, hopefully we find our mid rd steal... like we did w Doug, Valentine, Snell, Portis. :banghead:

This pick probably is 17-20. I doubt he's there... but there will be somebody good.

I don't like to root for guys getting injured, but Jrue and AD are both risks (or opportunities for us).

Let's say we wind up with 6 and 17.... would you trade them for top 3? I wouldn't.

and I understand why. I just wouldn't. I would rather have two shots as long as one is in the top 6. That assures us of one of the top prospects AND another shot at a star player mid draft.. A lot of great players have been in that range in the last dozen drafts.

Hell no. Bamba or Porter is going to be available at #6. Moving up to 3 is not worth giving up another bite at the apple with 17. Now, Bulls do not need another Doug or Val type at 17 but a raw, Thon Maker (for example) type. They know that.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Kevin Knox will be a Top 7 pick this year, he's that talented.

We'll see.

Most draft boards have Ayton, Bagley, Doncic, MPJ, Bamba, Young, and JJJ above him at least that I've seen.

Hell, landing Bamba or Doncic may be even better. Bamba is going to be an absolute freak in the NBA.

No way either of those guys drop that low let alone out of the top 5-6.

I've just read that people have been underwhelmed with Knox so far this year, but that could change come the combine if he really shows out.

The 17ish pick is where you swing for the fences with raw, high upside and hope for a Kahwi Leonard, Klay Thompson or Rudy Gobert type of home run. Or even a guy like Donovan Mitchell who surprises everyone.

Unfortunately Pax type of draft picks in that range have been McDermott, Portis, Snell, Valentine type athletes. Low upside.

I agree, it seems like a extremely substantial dropoff to me.

Right no Tankathon has us taking Bamba with the #6 and Duval with the #17. Not sure i wouldn't rather try Diallo at #17

That's exactly what I'm hoping we do with this pick.
