White
Cade
Williams

Gafford

Plus assets for Lavine and other guys, and tons of cap space to eat bad deals/get more picks. I like all the top 5 prospects at this point. White would be fine playing with Cade or Suggs in the backcourt.

Yeah bad for another 3-5 years and still not be guaranteed to draft in the top 3 with a bottom 3 record and you saying "blow it up" after year 2

The problem DBoy is we look to be bad now, with no clear path to get a superstar. Our cheap contracts are coming up. If Carter didn't suck and Porter was as good as we thought he was, I would see a better future. But put Lavine on a max deal, Lauri on a big deal and all of a sudden our options are limited

We should look to Gsw to trade Lavine,Porter for Minesotta pick(4-10). If we got number 1-3 with ours, AK will have his three choices as building blocks with White/Markkanen/Carter (if not traded). Bulls pick (one off Cunningham/Green/Suggs), Minesotta pick (Scottie Barnes/Jalen Johnson/Keon Johnson).

I’m not sure how much film we’ll get out of the G-League guys this year but I broke down Jalen Green’s game from his HS/AAU tape in a Film Sesh a few weeks ago.

This team is an albatross, on par with the garbage Chicago Bulls post MJ retirement. We would actually improve by dumping all of these losers and starting fresh with a bunch of second and first rounders, and Euro FA signings.

Euroleague players who are cheaper, relative young and can play better than 80% of our team right now. German Johaness Voigtmann pf/c from Cska Moscow better than Theiss,Wagner right now. Tavares c from Real ex Cavs, better than any of our centers at the moment, Will Clyburn sf from Cska better than Hutch for sure, scoring from bench, Shane Larkin ex Celtics is better version of White at the moment, Gabriel Deck Argentinian from Madrid is like young Nocioni, Tyler Dorsey from Maccabi is more athlethic better defender Valentine. G league or waivers like Shaymok sf, Mason pg, Alonzo Trier bench scoring, Norwell Pelle as rim protector. There are lot better, cheaper, younger, more talented players out there to grabb. Unretired Noah is still probably best defender on our team, he was pretty decent in Memphis last season before Clippers stint.

Still trying to wrap my head around Wendell Carter at the 3.
Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

I mentioned him in another thread, but James Bouknight looks like he’s going to be a star in the NBA based off his last game against Creighton.

Bouknight is impressive. He can really do it all and plays smart/unselfishly. I used to say too bad we already have 2 2-guards but the days of drafting anything other than BPA seem over for this roster the next few years.

Sorry I havent been following his career but is Luka Garza like the next Jonas Valančiūnas or much more than that? I see he is 22 and no one has an answer for him.

He's overweight and very unathletic right now.

You do wonder if that indicates some potential upside should he slim down a bit once he goes pro.

I think he's probably a 1st round prospect. Doesn't make sense for us though unless he's sitting there in round 2 or something.

He’s painfully slow and old like you said. He’s much closer to Aaron Gray or Nikola Pekovic than Val, he’s those guys with a decent 3 point shot. Does Gray with a 3 point shot make it in today’s NBA? I’d bet no.

Most mocks don’t have him getting drafted.

I think unless a team falls in live with him he’s at best a mid-second round pick. He can score inside and out, but he’s soooo slow. He’ll get eaten alive on defense and has no handle to operate facing the basket except as a catch and shoot guy.

Great college player though.

If you need a game changer it's gotta be Cunningham, Mobley or Suggs, and I think when we start to see G-League Ingite we'll likely have Green and Kuminga somewhere near that conversation as well.

Anything below that and I find it hard to get excited at this point, been on the draft carousel for too long.

Scottie Jr might make it eventually. He's smart, and he can shoot. There's definitely a place for guys like that, size be damned.

Thanks for the info on Garza.

Goes to show you, boxscore chasing is meaningless without context. I was kind of shocked when you look at a guy avg 28 and 10 on 65% shooting and over 60% from 3 and not even beon draft boards

I was clearly missing something.
