Turnovers are key (limiting them).

If vuc still struggles to shoot, then his blueprint should be what he did in the celtics game.

We need to continue that high energy from the bench while our starters work out their chemistry issues. Make sure ayo, bradley, and jones get solid minutes.

Derozen just has to maintain the status quo, he's been stellar.

With lavine's injury, i understand him being more passive overall, but i'd like to see the scoring he did against the celtics spread out more instead of all in one quarter.

Lonzo and caruso need to be more careful with the ball. No needless turnovers while still being aggressive on the break, which i know is a fine balance, but they've shown they can do it. Also, lonzo and caruso need to keep up their all nba defense and make life hell for the sixer's perimeter players.

I'd prefer the route of stopping everyone around embiid so he's forced to win the game by himself. If we do that we should win and as long as we don't look at embiid's box score, it will look like a good win.

I'll probably jinx the heck out of this game and cause a loss by 20, but this is the type of news that would have gotten me excited last year and annoys me now. I want to see us play teams at their best not get lucky scheduling breaks now.

Why is it only lucky schedule breaks for unproven teams? We don't have out starting power forward, do other teams get that same caveatwhen they play us now? "The Sixer's won, but the it was against a Bulls team without Coby White and Patrick Williams."

Surprised the Sixers have the best offensive in the league so far wasn't expecting that but, no Danny Green and Tobias Harris tonight should help us out a bit.

As for guarding Embiid, the Knicks held him to only 14 points while shooting 2-7, he did have 11 FTs though. Knicks sent the double team from the top when Embiid put the ball on the floor. Interested to see what coverage BD has for him, this man dropped 50 on us last year and we still don't have an answer for him even if Vuc is an upgrade over WCJ.

Really sorry to hear that. We had to do the same last December and we’re still not over it. Hope the Bulls can help ease the pain.

Vuc has a much more versatile scoring package and is a significantly better passer. I don't think you'll find many 9 assist Boozer games across his resume.

Defensively Vuc is also a tier or two better than Boozer ever was, but that could be a bit more debatable.

Nope. Boozer got 5 years guaranteed at near max (which at the time... for comparison sake, he got a little more than each of the Heat 3, who took a tiny pay-cut to make $14.5m a year).

Vucevic is on a front-loaded deal (he makes a descending $24m & 22m), which for the next 2 seasons puts him at nearly 50% max for some players his age.

So I don't really care how bad his stats are. For his level of skill and lack of salary commitment (2 years remaining), he's a bargain. Boozer was pretty much untradeable 1 month into his contract, and had to be amnestied.

Dude, same. My initial reaction to this news was "nice, easy win!", but after thinking about it a bit I want us to face full strength competition, at least in the early going when it's too soon to worry about playoff seeding.
Guys, it's Tobias Harris. It doesn't make it an easy win.

Thybulle has owned Zach even as recently as the Olympics. I think if Zach can step up tonight we win and it is time for him to shake that hound of a defender off his tail.

One good stat for us.... Philly is a worse rebounding team than we are.

IMO, the key to the game is Vuc.

Vuc needs to take a lot and make a descent of his 3s tonight. This will keep Embiid honest and outside the paint. Without Embiid in the paint, we can parade to the bucket. If Embiid camps in the paint, Vuc needs to take a lot of open 3s and make them. This will open up for everybody.

I don't want to be cocky and I know the game is on the road, we need to beat this Philly team (and fairly easily). Although, this Philly team without Embiid, Tobias and others still beat the Blazers.

I just worry that, especially with thybulle around, lavine might be even more passive than in the celtics game, at least until the fourth quarter. If that happens, then it makes our offense that much more predictable and easier to defend.

Where did you find that. I see them as slightly above us (which is surprising considering they have joel and drummond)

Exactly, plus they're pretty deep even without him, they have a championship contending squad.
