He's a decent PG. But turning AC into Giddey just keeps us on the same hamster wheel. He is in no way a difference maker.

I disagree because Giddey is 21 years old. That is a huge change. It basically gives some indicators that we are going with a youth movement.

Again, look at his year 2 stats. That is the actual trajectory.

I dont know why all you guys are complaining for. Giddey is pretty damn good as a lead guard. He was marginalized by SGA. Caruso is a solid defensive guy, but hes also always hurt and is gonna be expensive to re-sign.

Because he was played off the court in the playoffs for being a non shooter AND we got no picks in the deal. I was maybe expecting second rounder or two at worst but none?

Not surprised the thunder traded for Caruso. I always felt they were the 1 or 2 most likely to trade for him. I would be surprised if there are no picks involved. Hopefully, there will be more details. But this seems to hint at a tank

Bulls need to tank next year in a great draft. They were never going to resign Caruso. They get a free look at Giddey and can make a decision next year.

Guys Giddey is only 21. Hes younger than Devin Carter and Knecht and a lot of these draft prospects. He would be #1 in this years draft if he was a prospect, no doubt. Its a good pickup for us.

Giddey is too one-dimensional to go #1 in this draft.

Giddey did average 17/8/6 on 48% shooting in his second year. He has obvious struggles on and off the court this season but he does have runs on the board.

Surely this signals the end of all of Demar, Zach & Vuc? I’d re-sign Pat and run with Ayo/Coby/Giddey/Pat/Drummond(?) and see if there’s anything with that group in a tank year.

That weird underage thing is influencing people's views of him as a player, but from what I know of it (which admittedly isn't that much), it doesn't seem that bad? Kind of seems like it was overblown and grew into a meme more than anything. Correct me if I'm wrong.

it's **** stupid when he was 19 he was dating and **** a 17 year old. I mean, that **** happens constantly. 17 is a fully grown woman and a two year age gap is nothing. If he was 19 and a senior in her HS nobody would have thought anything. People are just weird and want to make something out of nothing.

I would have rather extended Caruso at his max of 17.5 million. Giddey looks like a decent bench player and i like his rebounding but he needs to be extended.

Why would this surely signal the end of Demar, Zach and Vuc? We just traded a SG with 1 year left on his deal for a different SG with one year left on his deal with a different skill set.

I like the trade, Giddey was one of the guys everyone around here liked before that stupid under age stuff.

Coby and him will be a nice young backcourt and Caruso gets a good place with SGA and the Thunder. Win win for both teams. Hopefully we get at least a 2nd round pick as well.

I have zero confidence AK has the ability to get the best of Presti. And Giddey's tape, shooting percentage nor advanced numbers are especially impressive. But AK sucks at drafting, too, so I guess those picks we couldve got instead would've been wasted anyways.
