Ah yes. I was wondering about her decision, but now I understand. The players will be negotiating a new agreement after this season, and given the huge increase in TV money the salary structure will rise sharply. In short, you are right ... assuming that she retains the same draft position (she was expected to go #2), she will make a significantly higher rookie salary by waiting. Plus, her NIL payments next year will almost certainly be higher than the current WNBA rookie salaries.
