We broke realgm again. It's not the first time. Bulls fanbase is still insane

I knew Tre Jones and Zach Collins would somehow end up on the Bulls.

LaVine has had zero trade value, it's been well reported for over a year? now. Why are fans shocked about the return?

I didn't expect much, but AK has never been good at asset management. Getting the first back is basically fixing an old mistake (which at this point I'll take).

We all knew this was going to be the most likely scenario.

I, for one, am glad the Zach Lavine era is OVER in Chicago. This team was going no where with a guy who is not a winner, but rather an overpaid stat padder who has no impact on winning.

We are lucky to be rid of him.

Well done to Zach for playing himself out of negative value.

I'm fine with the deal, we got our pick back and we can continue the tank.

Terrible trade. Why are we including our 2nd round pick? AK always includes a pick when it shouldn't be necessary. We would have gotten the Spurs pick back just by trading Zach. The only nuance here, which does matter, is that we don't have to worry about losing it any of the subsequent years.

Cowley is saying the Bulls aren't done yet. KC is also saying we need to get rid of two more players on our roster (likely Craig and Duarte) in order to pull off the Kings trade.

Don’t underestimate the red velvet baby ! Jk, he could actually be solid but not sure why he’s falling off the rotation so much this year? Maybe a change of scenery will help him.

the forum acting weird for anyone else? It took like 25 min before it finally loaded all the way.

now that the shock has worn off, we should have gotten an extra pick man. I wasnt expecting a return to make us better, but this was an awful return even from a pure asset acquiring perspective.

It was a lackluster return... Kings got 3 firsts.

I'm not surprised... we couldn't get a single pick for Caruso... We suck

Being rid of Lavine was necessary. But this does further crystallize just how awful AK has been as a decision maker. Put us in a bad spot and doesn't have the intelligence to fix it. Best he can do is tear down and then we get someone else to build it back up.

I look at getting the first back as fixing a past mistake so in that way it's a positive (even though I don't think it's much). Hopefully this means AK has more moves planned (Vucevic?).

Pretty impressive run they’ve had, this FO…

Absolutely hilarious if the Kings receive a FRP for Zach on draft night (or next year). Then again they’re incompetent themselves.

AK’s screw job with the 2020-24 roster isn’t even complete, yet.

So who are we trading or waiving? Two gotta go. I'd assume Craig and one of Carter/Duarte

Welp we got fleeced. Management wasn't even confident enough that we could tank as hard as they wanted, apparently.

This sucks, I just hope it means we plan on cleaning out the coach, GM, and everyone else

lmao at everyone yelling about needing more picks (no one wanted Zach) i'm A-OK with this trade! Cut the salary in half with Tre's expiring, have our own pick back which means we don't have to even worry about it and free up minutes and spots to see some of these other guy.

I think Huerter is movable as well if we wanted to do so. Besides that we need to make room for a roster spot I believe so I wonder if they may have another trade lined up already possibly centered around Vuc+.

Just glad we're seeing the ship steering into a direction and not on cruise control like the last 4 years...

In a way, this return is a step up from what we were getting half a year back in the summer. We were having to attach picks for any team to even entertain anything then. Between his reputation (1 playoff appearance in 10 years), performance (bad defender and decision maker), health concerns (recovering from a season-ending injury), and contract size in this dumb CBA, this is a pretty decent return all things considered.

We're getting our own pick back plus a real 4 and a couple of role players. UM... Wth?

I fear this means keeping Vuc. That's because the pick has no value in a true teardown because it wouldn't convey anyway. But in a world where AK plans on continuing to muddle through in the 7-12 range with Vuc, Coby, Ayo, Pat and hope Matas busts out, it becomes reasonably valuable. And because that's exactly the kind of thing AK would do, then say "We really like the way our young players, led by Pat, are trending."

Or on the flipside, AK just had another screwjob. He's like the anti-Ainge.

Really it could go either way, the potential directions for incompetence are numerous.

We get back control of the pick we sent to San Antonio....

This trade seems pretty awful but I really wanted to keep Lavine.
