With Coby scoring 40 points and then in the next game he goes for 15 in a 10 point loss and we all ask what was the point of the last month???

Imho it was good decision to rest Giddey and White, we would lose this game anyway I think.

I agree.

If there is any upside, maybe Pat gained some confidence on how to play right going into the post-season. That said, I was disappointed in the low shot volumes by Pat and Matas given the rest of the guys playing. Pat was on a heater and only managed to hoist up 11 shots.

My days of defending Pat are over. It’s 100% put up or shut up now. And there has been no “put up” this year.

However, in this instance that is not low shot volume for either player considering they played 26 and 27 minutes. It comes to about 15-16 fga per 36. And they played with Carter as their point guard who is purely a shooter and can’t pass for anything. And he took 15 shots.
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

It really shines a light on how injuries to Ball, Jones, and Ayo have left us very thin at the guard positions.

Still only one game back behind Atlanta in the 8th spot

We've got the Heat, Wizards, and 76ers

Hawks have Brooklyn, 76ers, and the Magic - Orlando could be locked in to the 7th seed by the time that game rolls around. Don't see Atlanta losing to the Nets or 76ers.

Orlando does have to play Boston and Indiana though so them having the 7th seed locked up is no guarantee.

Could be in for an exciting end to the season.

If we don't win tonight vs Miami though...

I tried but I just couldn't. Set my DVR, turned on the TV at 8 PM to watch, quit after 5 minutes of game time. Watching a collection of Rent-a-Bulls who won't be on the roster 2 years from now stumble to an unavoidable loss is not enjoyable. Plus, while Matas shows tantalizing flashes, he's not yet at the stage where he is ongoing fun to watch. Only Giddey and Cody on our squad qualify for that designation, so with neither of them playing there weren't many consolation prizes either.

Not the first time P-Wont has scored well in an end of the season useless game.

*In his rookie year, he went off for 24 on 9 of 14 shooting. We lost by 24. That was on May 15th 2001 (Covid), second to last game of the season.

*After missing most of his second season, he went of for 35/4/4 on the last game of the season against Minny on April 10th, 2022. We won by 4. It was him, Ayo, Devante, Troy Brown Jr and Tristian as the starters. DeMar, Vuc, Zach and Caruso were back for the next game, which was a play-off game. LOL

3rd year he went for 23/8 on the second to last game of the season against Dallas.

4th year he was hurt at the end of the season.

A good game at the end of the year by Pat?

All true, BUT, I wasn't convinced that Pat could still even be "that guy". He seemed more decisive and effective against tough competition. I'm a long way from even thinking for a second that Pat could be that guy on a nightly basis, but at least it is physically and skillwise possible, which is encouraging in the wake of this season.

Please shut down Vuc we don't need him and I rather play the young bigs.
