Don’t care. It’s 6 games in a season we really don’t want to “win” our way out of the lottery. And it gives Ayo a big role so he can get re-acclimated more quickly.

Like the time I learned how to run 60mph when I didn't have my car bailing me out of getting to work!

It's more like learning to drive a car without NOS so that you can control and perform better once you get the NOS

Could start the chucker from hell. Javon Carter

Spoiler:
This is a joke. I assume it will be either Kevin, Okoro, Pat, or Ayo. I think it will be Heuter and Okoro

So, lineup to start the season should be?

Giddey/Jones
Ayo/Okoro
Huerter/various
Matas/PWill
Vuc/JSmith

Depth helps A LOT-we have a solid 9 man rotation, plus White/Collins to work back in-and Noa/Terry/Carter/Phillips for depth and development

Looking like I get my wish another lotto pick. Also more excited about who steps up.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

It will be interesting to see who gets the nod. I could see Jones beating out Ayo. Jones has been phenomenal during the PS. But regardless, Ayo/Okoro/Huerter will likely split the Coby mins.

Its not the worst news fans could get but between this and the Collins news its hard to avoid feeling like a little bit of a wet blanket has been thrown on my enthusiasm for the season start.

Jones outplayed Ayo in preseason this year?

Coby is supposed to miss 6 games. Collins is supposed to miss a month but it was announced almost two weeks before opening night. Unless things go sideways, neither is going to miss much time at all.

IMO yes. To me, he looked like he had a Caruso level impact on games.

I don't get it. What is their motivation in lying?

Selling tickets? Clinging onto any positive engagement? Trying to avoid fan backlash? I'm not sure, I just know that the Bulls have a long history of downplaying injuries.

Coby will be re-evaluated after two weeks.
Collins will be re-evaluated after a month.

That is different than "expected to miss" that much time. That is the bare minimum time each will miss and likely they will miss more due to at least some ramp up.

I know your response is directed at Duck and not my original comment, but I do want to point my comment used a very intentional qualifier of "season start". I found it strange to see any pushback to being disappointed to not see the current rosters 2024 ppg leader in the season start. How long past the season start they end up being out for is beyond the scope of the original comment.

Exactly how I’m seeing it.

I think Ayo is going to boom and become a big trade chip or a winning player for us.

Exactly.

I think these are minimums unless the team is not using “reevaluate” to include the ramp up.

It seems with Coby’s calf he won’t be able to continue his ramp up and will most likely me shut down completely for two weeks before the ramp up resumes.

The perfect scenerio for this season for me is:

1. We absolutely crater this season and get a top 5 pick.

2. Matas takes a step into becoming a legitimate starter.

3. Blazers take a jump and make the playoffs.

4. No serious injuries to help the tank. Niggling injuries sure, but no season ending seasons, because I still want to see a competitive team, to at least have some glimmer of hope for the future.

To me, I'm fully anticipating another lost season, but if we can get a high lottery pick and Matas continues to progress as a player, the following season we could finally see a positive turn for the team.
Why so serious?
