The Kings are exactly where we were these last couple years. ISO city, your turn my turn style, no PF. How the hell did the Kings see us struggle with the same thing year in year out and say, yeah that's exactly what we want!

Matas was incredible and still messed up a lot/did a bunch of young player stuff. Needs to tighten the handles a bit obviously but it's really awesome thinking about how high his ceiling could be if he's this good already.

This stretch is rough man. Knicks x2, Embiid, Giannis, Spida (he torches us) capped off with Wemby? There is a real chance we split with the Knicks and are 5-5 when we play Detroit again. Things are about to get nasty. I am really looking forward to how they handle it.

This reply before I read any other comments. I basically stopped following the Bulls at all almost a decade ago, and have only started following the NBA somewhat in the last few years.

That's to say, I'm not really up on things. But man, Giddy can play. Beyond that, I'm liking pretty much all of what I'm seeing from the Bulls' roster. This game really showcased that trade last year. The Bulls are, dare I say, actually compelling to watch again. They're not even close to a contender, but they have that feel where, if they get a break or two, they could be headed that way. Meanwhile, they're just fun to watch. They're going to be competitive in most games this year. I feel like unfrozen caveman lawyer.

Giddey’s a stud. Just makes sh*t happen out there. Productive. Only 23 and getting better. He played at an all star level in the second half last year and its only continued.

No reason to think hes going to be slowing down any time soon.

Bulls get a comfortable win. Zach and DeMarr come back and play well, and lose. That's entertainment.

I think you can tell he was a cross sport athlete growing up. His hands are unreal. They allow him to do quite a bit off ball that most guys his size simply can't, and his quickness at his size is just innate.

For all the talk we had about giddy this summer he could have signed for what he asked for and would still be a steal

I was at the game, 14 rows back from center court. Good times.

This is the kind of win that strikes fear in the heart of........... who's heart is it that needs fear struck in it nowadays?

On Buz... what I loved about his game tonight especially and the 1st quarter was he knew nobody on Sactown could defend him and he played it perfectly.

League wise im not even thinking about as that's in the stars...
but just think about bulls best PF of all time... Not really out of realm of thought at all if he keeps improving, competition is not that steep- Horace grant? Oakley? Rodman? Nate Thurmond? Elton brand?
Nothing he can't pass by if u ask me( feel free to correct me if i forgot some all time great pf)

Seccci wrote:Another one bites the dust. Bulls got sloppy at end of first and until 2 minutes left of the second quarter, but after that they start running and gunning, Matas and Giddey took over and that was that.
Great game from Zach, but dude just is oblivious to bball momentum- he attacks when he should slow it down and he gets deliberate into movements and **** clock when he should speed it up, it's strange....

Great- Giddey, couple rebounds from triple double, took charge together with Huerter and Matas during that slump to get us back
Matas, yeah lot of mistakes, by dude is just such a difference maker along with Giddey and Trae Jones, they always affect play any way, offense, defense, shooting, pushing pace. It's awesome

Pat the big decent Williams again with decent second half along with VUC and Jalen Smith and Huerter, bench again nearly 50 points, think it was 46, though this time starters outplayed them.

Need Coby back soon, we can kind of see the limitations on not having scoring lead guard, even though Giddey is pretty awesome at it, still lacking that explosive scorer- Matas was close today, just sat on bench too long in 4th...

Just feels so good and comfy to watch bulls basketball again after so many years. Thank God, guys like Matas and Giddey are just winning players that make winning plays on offense, defense, rebounding, playmaking. Any way they can affect winning they do it, that all while still having major holes in their games to improve on and do silly turnovers and fouls.

Sky's the limit folks

About Zach, now that I watch him on the other side, his biggest weakness is feel for the game. I think his IQ have developed quiet well compared to when he first came here. He's better in playing within his limitation and not forcing things as much as he used to. But his lack of "feel for the game" is why there's a disconnect between his individual production and the team outcome.

About this team's potential, if this is the floor and this group being in Year 1, then yes the sky is indeed the limit. I think the irreplaceable pieces for this team is Matas and Giddey because both are really unique. I think Ayo and Tre are 2 glue pieces that we need to keep to continue the momentum. I like how Vuc fits with this team, but we also need to be careful not to fall into the trap of wanting to keep him long-term. Vuc is a proxy of what type of center do we need to pursuit to replace him that fits the current core's timeline. We basically need a poor man's Jokic type who is a good passer, good rebounder, can give double digit scoring, interior defense is a bonus.

If the Bulls reach the AS break with winning record, which also means Giddey is maintaining current level of play, he could be making his first All-Star appearance.
