As far as Aldridge goes, it comes down to whether he's hitting his jumper. It's virtually unblockable because of his Rasheed Wallace like high release. You can only hope he misses. He's also deleloping a nice turnaround jumper.

Please. I don't think Roy or Aldridge could care less that the Bulls passed on them. Hell, they should be thankful, they got to go to a team that was willing to develop them.

That is sort of circular, since neither Roy nor Aldridge exactly have needed tons of "development."

I think this can really go either way

But the Bulls should be more energized being at home off a nice win over the 'Cats. Also having the ability and favorment to defend Roy pretty well.

What would be ideally fun is for Tyrus to have a nice game after Noah did, and because of the Portland stuff. :)

I'm excited to see what all the Brandon Roy buzz is all about. I've been hearing things like 'unstoppable' and 'future HOF' over the last few weeks.

UTAH put LMA on the line the other day 14 times and they beat them. Maybe playing him physically and forcing him to beat you at the stripe disrupts their transition game and could lead to a close Bull victory?

I'm gonna try riding the BoylanWagon and go with:

Bulls 94
Portland 89

and I enjoy the Barkey pre/half/post game stuff but i hate the TNT play-by play - those guys are turrable.

Go Bulls!

I'm sure they are happy about being passed. I just think it's human nature to stick it to the one who passed on you. Jordan used to always use silly things like that to motivate himself.

Bulls' Big Four Under Coach Boylan (3-1):

Ben Gordon: 29.3 PPG, 5 rpg, 11-19 on three's
Luol Deng: 21.8 ppg, 9 rpg, 4.5 apg
Kirk Hinrich: 11.3 ppg, 7.8 apg, 4.8 rpg
Ben Walalce: 10.5 rpg, 2.5 bpg, 2 spg, 2.8 bpg

Joe Smith is also averaging 13 ppg. And for the worst offensive team in the league, we've averaged an impressive 106 ppg under Boylan's run. This is the most important game in the season, thus far, for us as far as I'm concerned. If the Bulls can beat the Blazers it'll go a long way to restoring their confidence. I'm expecting a good game.

The thing with Roy is that he can take over the game, but doesn't unless he has to. That usually means he scores around 20 points. The thing that got him so much press was that he did take over for a few games when Aldridge went out.

The other thing someone mentioned was putting Aldridge on the line. As a Blazer fan I would love that. He shoots 75% from the line and only 50% from the field.

The key tonight is simply if the rest of the team plays well.

Didn't want to start a new thread but Tony Cornheiser just said on PTI that he thought our roster was more talented than the Celtics and that we had a 94% chance of making the playoffs.

Bulls 4th game in 5 nights spells trouble, especially with the regulars playing big minutes. Bulls will need a random guy or two to step up tonight. Duhon? Noah?

Sounds about right. Making the playoffs should be no problem. We are better than what our record says, but it's just a matter of this team coming to play each night.

But if Kornheiser is talking about Full Roster compared to Full Roster, the Bulls are better. Doesn't mean they are the better team, but they are better talent-wise. But we are more talented as a roster than alot of the teams we are below record wise right now.

As Duck posted on the Blazers board I wouldn't expect to see these two head to head tonight. Although it looks like Tyrus has fallen on the depth chart, there is a case for him to get some decent time on the 2nd unit. Travis Outlaw most plays the 4 on the Blazers second unit. Outlaw has some serious hops and can get his shot off against almost ever player in the league. Tyrus is at the top of my list as someone who has the physical abilities to give Travis all sorts of problems offensively.

Good luck tonight, should be a good game.

Knowing us, we'll see Joe Smith cover Outlaw.

This will be my first time watching the Bulls under Boylan. This is what I like to see when played against Portland.

I like to see more of Noah and Tyrus Thomas in this game and a little bit of Aaron Gray. Maybe not to little but enough to get some burn but I want to see more of Noah and Tyrus Thomas. I like to see both guarding Aldridge taking turns depend who else is on the floor. If Ben Wallace still on the floor then bring Noah or Tyrus Thomas to match up against Aldridge.

If one of them sub for Ben Wallace then same as above bring Tyrus Thomas or Noah on the floor and have them guard Aldridge if he's not on the floor that's fine too. But I want in all times I want Noah and Tyrus taking turns guarding Aldridge in all times on the floor. I like to see a little bit of Big Ben guarding Aldridge a little bit but not much but only if Noah/Tyrus get into early foul trouble.

In this matchup I don't want to see Noc playing at the PF position I want him to back up Deng at the SF position against Portland. Oh and from what I heard since Noc struggle lately I want to see the Noc early of this season and from few season ago to start driving more and be more aggressive. Oh and play little mind games at the op positing players.

In this game I like to see Deng plays a little SG today to see how he do guarding Roy and call me crazy even though majority of this board don't want to see Thabo in action. I like to see a little bit more of Thabo but I like to see him play some SG and play at the point and maybe a little at SF too.

Also from what I heard if Duhon continue to play stupid especially on the defensive end early of the game if I was Boylan I would've yank him and bring him back in later to see if he correct his mistake. But I would tell him what mistake did he make and so fourth. That same goes with any players.

Looking forward to it hopefully we pull this off.

Over under on 15 minutes for Noah?

Sadly, I believe Doug is going to be posting more complaining after this game. I just don't think Boylan is going to give the rook consecutive big minute games (even though last night wasn't even that big of minutes normally).

Brandon Roy has only scored over 30 once this season.

I have a feeling this will be his second time.
