The problem with Kobe is that he is no longer much of a threat to attack, so you just defend him for his jump shot. He has to work harder than ever to get his shots up, which is why he is looking average for his standards. That said, Kobe's average, is usally still better than most players best.

When it was a 10 point game in the 2nd quarter I told my 9 year old that it would probably be a 30 point final differential. He questioned my insight. I told him to wait.

When it was 6 points in the 3rd quarter he questioned me further. I told him to wait.

When it was 10 points in the 4th quarter he started to tease.

And then the run happened.

This game turned out to be pretty good for my parental authority.
