Anyway, bottom line is that Taj going to the pitch indicates that he is staying. He's on a fair deal so that is no big deal.

While this somewhat reduces the leverage the Bulls have, the Bulls can still offer about 18 million per year to start if they dump everyone but Jo, Taj, Rose, McDermott and Aussie. Keep Jimmy and that goes down to 16.5, which even there isn't exactly a low ball offer (almost 2 million more than James Harden makes this year).

Houston is in the same position as the Bulls in terms of salaries - in that they would have to gut their roster to everyone but Howard, Harden, Beverly, Terrance Jones and Nick Johnson to have about 20 million to offer. They can keep a little more cheap depth than the Bulls (basically Isaiah Canaan and Donitas Maj) and still offer 18 mil.

Dallas needs to resign Dirk and is near 35 million without him on the Books, so even assuming he drops to 10Million, they will be in the Bulls situation (and actually have to dump a few small contracts to get 18mil).

Lakers have a lot of room, but way more holes to fill. Nash and Kobe take them to 33 million.

So if it's near Max or bust, then chances are Melo stays in NY. If 16ish million dollars to start is acceptable, then the Bulls should probably be considered front-runners.

Haven't seen all the numbers in one place before. This makes me feel better. Well done.

But hey Rose fan boys instead of defending him with your kind words, let his GAME do the talking for him since hes getting paid all these millions hope he lives up to it next season, then you guys can come at me with something

But regardless Rose still wins because he still collecting those checks for sitting on the bench and not recruiting while at it but hey at least he's humble ;)

That sounds great. But I really don't think taj Gibson being there helps.

Thats a tough sell. IMO the idea that Noah demanded Taj be untouchable is hurting us here.

I think it unequivocally hurts. Melo, like all players, wants to get paid. I dont think the MIA 3 even took as steep a cut as we are asking Melo to take and Melo is getting less of a sure thing.

Oh I agree. I'm already preparing for him to sign somewhere else that will offer him more money. And I'm preparing for it to be all Derrick Rose's fault too.

No you lost your ridiculous war on crime. And then you moved the goalposts so you could continue your ridiculous anti-drose crusade. In the process you exposed your agenda, and revealed yourself to be trolling. Bye, Felicia!
