I think the longer nine hour meeting does show Melo's greater interest in Chicago as the basketball choice; The players, coach, system, record, facilities etc.

We just don't know how much sales and marketing chit was showcased in two hours in LA. With Melo loving the public life as he does, I wouldn't want to put anything valuable on him ultimately listening to the original basketball interest.

Because logic dictakes to me that Carmelo said himself that a winning situation takes presidence over money at this stage in his career. So therefor go to the team that gives you the best chance at winning, no? Yet, supposedly the leaders in the clubhouse are the two teams least likely to be a winning situation(out of the teams he's interested in signing with). Unless there is some crazy collusion that is currently underway that makes the Knicks or Lakers(or gag, the Heat) instant contenders.

So, um... yeah.

Dictakes

I think it would suck if Melo went elsewhere, but I'm not gonna hate him for taking the money for the long run. He may be thinking about the "bigger picture" for his family's sake & I wouldn't blame him. Tough decision to be in.

Obviously neither would I. I can respect a family man, or being loyal to your team. Or Hell, taking the money.

Now if he ends up colluding with LeBron...

I guess I'd burn my Spider-Man halloween costume as a show of supreme defiance and anger. Misplaced?

Yup on 7/7 #7 will join the Bulls to win ring number 7

MoneyMitch I hope your not trying to Jinx us with these post being a knicks fan and all

Apparently, he is a Melo obsessed individual. I'm not sure where he goes if the Lakers get Melo. If the Knicks get Melo, he's not welcome on the Knicks board anymore. He's here because you all have caught his fever.

Hopefully this thing is wrapped up before I go to bed, so sick of this dog and pony show. I'm sleeping sound either way!
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Yeah, with all due respect, Mitch, how do you look at yourself in the mirror? You're a sell out. You are not a Knicks fan. You are not a Bulls fan. You are a Carmelo Anthony fan. Basically, the equivalent of a Miami bandwagon fan. If I were a Knicks fan, I would surely shun you.... and as a Bulls fan, I must, as well.

Yeah, but if Jimmy or Taj... or Derrick Freakin Rose gets traded to the Knicks or Heat. I won't take down my Bulls badge and go befriend my enemy and talk behind Bulls fans backs.

By the time I wake up tomorrow morning I hope there's at least some solid news. We've had 2 days of nothing.
