If Boston has to sign Hayward, they have to let go of some young guys. Hope the Bulls use their roster spots to take some of those guys.

Well, there's a worse trade than the Butler trade. Wow, seriously Indiana? Pffft, they got WORKED!

Yeah Bulls totally ra*** that trade. Lol at people giving F when Cousins and George all got far worse values despite being better players.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

OKC got it for a bag of chips which sucks as Pacers will be fellow tankers.

George is not a better player than Butler. He might be more talented, but Butler has been better than him the last two seasons. Same goes for Cousins.

Lakers fan here...Looks like we're talking to Rondo about a one year deal. A lot of Lakers fans are getting worried. Can you confirm if he was good, bad or ok for you guys?

I think the pick has some protections as well, but still, not the biggest contract to take. Bulls should look in to anything like this.

He was bad for us.

Lonzo will take care of the culture for you guys. Stay away from Rondo.

Agreed. Trade for Aldrich and get that first. Then trade Roll for a late 1st or couple of 2nds.

I agree with that too. Aldrich would only be here for one year and the pick helps us for the future.

The OKC pick is only lottery-protected, so the Bulls would almost certainly get it in 2018.

Aldrich's 2018-19 salary is only guaranteed for $2.1 million, if this is at all true the Bulls should be all over it.

Per WT:

Denver will need to unload salary such as Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur now that they've come to an agreement with Paul Millsap.

Would love to take on Faried's contract along with incentives.

I think it makes sense for Denver to go all-in right now, another great suitor to take on salary from.

take on Denver contracts

Post#420 » by Beans » Mon Jul 3, 2017 6:13 pm

Absorbing contracts is a key decision now that core roster is set (ex Wade, Lopez, Niko, Joffrey). Heard Denver may be shedding contracts (Darrel Arthur, Faraid)) to sign George Hill. Not sure how likely that is, but just as a what if, what would a reasonable deal for both look like. Arthur owed $7m TY and next.

Which are workable both ways:
1) absorb Arthur: we get a small asset, an expiring next year, a vet, covers Center, still tanking.
2) absorb Arthur & get their 1st, they get choice(s) of Holiday, Grant, Payne.
3) absorb Arthur & and a few others (Hibbert) & get their first
4) absorb Arthur, switch our Second (will be near a 1st) for their 1st

What scenarios for Fariad would work (much more complex)? What would work for both Fariad & Arthur?
