Honestly, at this stage, signing a player who is in his prime, I'm happy to give up picks in the short term. We already have several young prospects to groom as is on the roster, so it's not like we are devoid of youth.

Young was not a good fit next to Vuc and was pretty redundant.

Not thrilled with the money, but DeRozan has become more efficient in San Antonio.

No excuses now. We got to make the playoffs.

I don’t know why that’s necessarily your conclusion. We need something tough up front more than ever

We can get toughness for cheap AND retain Lauri. It's not one or the other

to me, the thing about derozan is that he was imo very comfortably the biggest impact free agent still available other than kawhi? and pretty high up on the overall list of players who would realistically change teams this summer. i think he's instantly the second-best player on our team.

i was hoping we could get him at a discount for $15-20 million because he's a weird player, but 3/$85 is not a bad contract for him if he continues to perform at the level he did last year.

Wow 85M?? And giving up a 1st? I guess it's a good talent upgrade even though I don't exactly love how mediocre Derozan's impact has been historically. No doubt AKME is going for it though gotta respect that.

I'm not as attached to these draft picks as some of you are, but since we went all in like this, we're supposed to be a good team so those picks are gonna be well in the 20s. Gotta pay to play.

Giving up another pick stings but this team should now be a bonafide playoff contender for the foreseeable future so I suppose it will be water under the bridge.

On another note, if Pat reaches anywhere close to his full potential this team will be extremely good.
