When would Mirotic's season end? He's been feuding with his team overseas for a while now.

Not sure he is an option:

This flat out sucks. I was looking forward to seeing what Pat could do this year. I think it's not time to panic yet. I would move Alize into the starting 5, DJJ up in the rotation, and keep Javonte as a spark plug off the bench. We have to be working the phones to see what might be out there that doesn't cost too much. We finally have a team to be excited about and are already banged up after 5 games.

Theis's contract does match up with DDJ's....

But I'm sure the Bulls would have to add more and I don't think Theis can be traded until December (?).

Theis just signed for Houston and we are 5 games in why would they trade him already ? Lol. Maybe later on before the deadline but not now.

Houston's rebuilding. If we added a small asset maybe they'd consider it? Theis isn't really a part of their long terms plans.

But I agree with you that chances are slim that they'd trade him this year.

Realistically Boucher & Clarke. Both are on the bench and only playing 15 mpg.

Christian Wood is a starter & leading scorer, don't think we have the assets.
Same with Jerami.

Even before Pat got hurt, we were short handed in this area and one injury away for this happening.

We have to bring in someone now. Hopefully it’s someone who can contribute. I’m still open to Cousins if he can play though he slows us down.

Maybe there are some overseas players we can grab. Or some surprise free agents.

I hope we look at players ASAP. Need them in the mix and we need size.

Why not just moving Green for the starting unit? It´d be more simple , playing DJJ and Alize from the bench at 4 with Vuc /Bradley playing at center. It´d be a good choice before getting another big man.

Robinson got a flagrant foul for hitting Patrick in the face as he jumped toward the basket for a dunk. Now Patrick is out for the season. Don't come here trying to minimize what Robinson did.

It does give me some comfort that we have AKME now and not GarPax. They may have used this as an excuse to spin our wheels "we need Pat back to see what we have with this group....we underachieved because we were missing a key piece." etc.

I have some confidence that AKME will make a move to shore us up this year. What that looks like, no idea. But they have shown that they aren't content to run in place like GarPax were.

What about Favors from the Thunder? Not as athletic as other guys mentioned, but reliable and better rebounder

Pat's lack of aggressiveness has been THE main point of discussion around Pat all of his career and understandably so. Now Pat suffers a terrible injury during the most aggressive stretch of play we've seen from him this season, on the most aggressive play he probably ever made.

That's the Bulls for you.

That's our luck.

He's not going to help with defense at all, but Bagley is rotting on the bench in Sacramento. Who do we have that we can legally trade right now.

I'd be OK with that as a stopgap for this season. Don't want to give up more than perhaps another 2nd rounder to toss onto OKC's massive pile of picks. And even they might have finally reached a point where they aren't collecting picks. But that's someone you might as well check in on for sure.

He landed badly because his dunk movement was awkward. He seems to play scared ,hesitant,he thinks too much before shooting even when wide open , he hesitated for a second before going for dunking giving time for Mitch Robinson´s blocking foul.I hope he can recover well from this injury and can improve his game ,he has obvious skills but won´t be a good NBA player playing scared like that.

Of course Green moves into the starting lineup. This fascination with Alize is incomprehensible to me. He is a backup C, not a PF. That is obvious from the way he plays, and BD has said as much - that Alize has never played or practiced at the 4 for the Bulls because, in the Bulls system, the 3 and the 4 are interchangeable and alike, and very different from the 5. This is why PWill was able to switch from the 3 to the 4. Alize cannot play offense as a 3/4 - he has no outside shot, he does not cut. He is simply a small back-up 5, and not a very good one at that. He is a gimmick. There is a reason that he, notwithstanding his incredible hustle and rebounding skill, has only played more than 20 minutes in an NBA game four times in his NBA career. There is a reason why he did not get a guaranteed contract.

Honestly I don't think Mitch was trying to hurt him. It was a dangerous play but it's a contact sport and sometimes these types of plays happen. It sucks but it really didn't seem intentionally reckless.

I really hope PW can recover from this both physically and mentally. Kris Dunn was never the same after landing on his face. PW has had issues with being aggresive, and when he finally goes up to show some of that aggression, he's out for the season.

Return to Chicago Bulls
