That could have been far worse. Terrible 3rd. We def stopped guarding the 3 for most of that period.

The ref is part of the court, if they're standing in bounds the ball can hit them.

This is what the Knicks are this season. Their starters build big deficits, and their bench players narrow the gap. In this case it wasn't the entire bench but it was a bench player providing the spark.
