Whichever team trades him needs to be thinking they become #1 favorites or they risk the same catastrophe that the Nets are trying to wade through right now.

Our current roster will never get a ring either.

I'm not sure what team will want Simmons as he hadn't played for such a long time.

adding a durant caliber player no matter how many future picks / young players it takes is the way to go.

I agree ,I don't want nothing with Irving as good as he is.

I'm also never going to date Aubrey Plaza. Thanks for the clarification.

I hold to what I said. Durant will leave his next team before they get a Finals win. I dont think he will be worth the haul nor the aftereffects. Our own roster will surely see some major changes before we see another pennant in the rafters, but that's discussed in many places.

I would not like it, but
Irving/Ayo
Lavine/Caruso/Terry
PWill/JGreen/Terry
KD/DJJ/Lewis
Drummond/Bradley'/Simonovic
Is clearly a contender

BRK owes their picks to Hou, so tanking doesn't help them
Ball/Curry/White
O'Neale/Harris/White
DDR/O'Neale
Simmons/random vet
Vuc/Claxton
That should be a playoff team-and it adds high character vets to BRK-something the owner seems to want. We add the Port pick and our '27 pick

The Bulls would be weak at 5 as Drummond would be the starter with Bradley as the real backup ,Simonovic showed nothing for playing at NBA.I'm not sure we'd be contenders playing that starting lineup and this is the problem of trading for a superstar like Durant , you'd have to give many assets for him and our roster is flawed so it'll be hard to make it.

Yup. Thus the “ugh.” These knuckleheads are going to hold up the entirety of the remaining offseason.

I don't believe we'll get Durant as the price would be very high.
The question about our roster is when that major changes will happen, perhaps next 2 or 3 years ahead?

Actually it’s the opposite with Durant, why would you willingly invite cancer into the organism?

Murray and Gobert are more conducive to winning than Durant…….yes that’s what it’s come to.

I do feel bad foot the Nets and their fans.

The KD slander has gone way too far. Murray and Gobert more conducive to winning? Absolutely not. Durant was carrying the Nets all year into the playoffs. If you switch out Gobert with KD, the Nets are much worse off. If you left Gobert on Utah and traded Donovan, Utah is not making the playoffs.

And Jokic carries the Nuggets. Not Murray.

I wasn’t talking about Denver Murray, San Antonio Murray.

The point I’m trying you make is all the cancerous stuff affiliated with Durant outweighs what you get on the court. Greatest super team ever assembled ended up doing nothing and crippling a franchise for at least next 5 years. He had a huge hand in that.

Did Dejounte lead the Spurs to any playoff appearances? Hell, even when they had DeMar with him, Dejounte was okay and that’s it. KD, whether you believe he has baggage or not, is a better player and more conducive player to winning than both those players.

Hell, I question if Murray and Gobert were the two best players in a team, would they make the playoffs. I don’t think they do.

I know in my heart it won't happen, but Bulls Vegas odds of landing KD have been trending up. Third best odds right now.

Durant would instantly make us relevant and a national brand. Not to mention, possibly open the door for legitimizing AKME and breaking the superstar curse. It is well worth it. This team is going nowhere important as is anyway.

I agree.
1 - I don't think we're going to get Durant because our draft capital is already half-strength, and our current tradeable assets are all a disappointing poo-poo platter that's trumped by several more likely trades.
2 - I don't think the team that does will be happy about it eventually, because I don't think any team he goes to will be vaulted to above last year's top teams for a 2023 ring, and I think those 3 more years of his contract could lead to the same situation as Brooklyn.
3 - I think the current Bulls roster has little to no chance of beating ~10 teams superior to it in a playoff series
4 - I think either mid-season or next off-season we'll see a major move, and God willing it's a good one.

I do think if we somehow got Brooklyn to take Vucevic, Williams, White, and what little draft capital we can wring out, that Durant would make for a very exciting year for us and vault us to real national attention. I still see a roster with major holes that'd be exploited in the playoffs, and with how petulant Durant is, I worry an underperforming Bulls squad next playoffs will eventually lead to him attempting to ditch. Basically, I'd be thrilled to take Aubrey Plaza out on a date, but she'd see I ain't goin nowhere fast and be gone within a year. (In this scenario, I admit.... worth it)

Based on the ESPN trade machine, this works. That's how I came up with this deal

I think KD wants a team that can already go deep into the playoffs (conference finals - finals championship). I don't see him as the type to work hard with a middle of the pack team like the Bulls and elevate them to a championship.

Brooklyn ain't doing this unless Zach is involved period.

If the report that Vucevic helped recruit Dragic to Chicago is true then I think that pours ice on any potential Durant to Chicago scenario. Wouldn’t Vucevic have to be included in a Durant trade? I don’t see us moving DeRozan in a Durant deal.
