@ralph

it will be tough to lose deng, but this may be the time to look for players with a better upside. the bulls need a reliable 2nd option to rose, and if they see someone at #7 then why not.

Seems like this move would also set them up to be players in free agency next year. If we amnesty Boozer, then we would probably have about 14 million in cap space.

i think j. lamb plays a lot smoother than nick young. if the huskies performed to what they're capable of, lamb would had been a top 3 pick.
He might have been. Other than his floater game I don't really see what separates them though
Lamb is a much better defender, knows how to get open, and is a much smarter player. Also, he has much better handles! They are quite a bit different.

I really like this trade as it opens up a lot of things. Harris can play alongside Rose for periods of time, we take a chance for a low number 2/high number 3 type scorer, we create flexibility for 2013 in getting a free agent and especially in 2014 if we amnesty Boozer, etc.... Wright is solid and we can get pick 35 in a loaded draft - this opens a lot of possibilities. Someone such as D. Miller, W. Barton, Taylor, Orlando Johnson, Jared Cunningham, Kevin Jones, Mike Scott will slide.

Why is everyone talking Lamb at 7? I'd much rather have Dion Waiters.

Man it would suck if the Bulls just re-signed Watson and drafted Doron Lamb/Jenkins at 29.

Any cap experts out there know if we could keep Harris/Wright/Taj/Asik if we amnesty Boozer a year from now?

Next year:

Rose(injured)/Harris
Rip/Lamb
Wright/Butler
Boozer/Taj
Noah/Asik

Future:

Rose/Harris
Lamb/rookie
Wright/Butler
Mirotic/Taj
Noah/Asik

Looks like an extremely solid lineup if Lamb pans out.

We're getting 35 and 52 back. What's the total salary of Rose, Hamilton, Harris, Wright, Butler, Boozer, Gibson, Noah, 7,35 and 42? That's 11 guys without Omer. They'd either sign Omer and roster is set or not and get someone cheaper maybe

It'd be around 67M.

If we jettison Asik as well, we'll be sitting pretty & in position for a serious title run in 2013/2014.

The Bulls are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole here with Boozer right now.

Rose? He fits.
Deng? He fits. He's expensive, but he fits.
Noah? He fits.

Boozer? The 2nd highest paid player being the 4th most important guy? That doesn't fit.

And now we've probably seen the last of Deng here because of it.

I find it hard to believe the Bulls actually think this Boozer experiment or whatever has worked out well and we should continue to progress it.

I think Boozer fits just as well as Noah fits. Only Noah has been here longer.

I agree with Gloria, I can't wait to open my gifts on draft day, and I won't be disappointed if we don't crack the lottery or make a big move. After all we're talking about GarPax, so I don't expect the moon. It will be nice just to learn what direction the team is going in.

I do the proposed trade ten times out of ten. I would even fly Deng's ass to Golden State myself.

Noah's also the 4th most expensive. He's expensive as well...and I really wouldn't be opposed to trading him, just as I'm not opposed to trading Deng.

But Boozer's production doesn't justify his cost, and other parts of the team are about to be sacrificed because of it.

I know there isn't much of a trade for Boozer to make this team better. But I think doing whatever you'd have to to cut your losses with him would be worth it.

The Bulls aren't stupid. They know Boozer is not a good fit

Jeremy Lamb and Nick Young seriously??
Not only is J Lamb already a better all round player at this stage than young he also has a RIDICULOUS ABSOLUTELY MONSTER 7'1 WINGSPAN..
That will do CRAZY wonders for his D at the next level..
This guy could be special..
