So Taj is going to the meeting. It really can't be a bad thing. Get the NY boys in a room together talking about playing together and against each other in the old days as kids.

Man, not sure a room can hold all these bold personalities and egos. Gar, Paxson, Thibs, Noah, and Melo. Not sure Taj is going to matter that much. Damn, Thibs is probably your go-to guy out of this group for charm and a salesman-esque approach.

Not a bad idea. Melo- Take a little less and you won't have to worry about this guy ever guarding you again.

Be pretty comforting for any player to look at Taj and Jo and Jimmy and know they have your back.

If Taj is staying it means the Bulls have a 3rd team in place for Boozer via S&T locked up. It also mean some more picks are leaving, a lot of hte but we keep our mle n bpe if it doesn't take us over the apron.

I aslo juts got out of surgery and drugged out of my mind so bear with me.

I'm sure Rose will make an appearance/ be around to meet with Melo if only for a few minutes between super sets.

I don't think this is as big a deal as people are making it out to be. It isn't his job to recruit and he doesn't want to do it. Get over it! It's not like Rose pleading for Melo to come over will be the deciding factor in Melos decision, and everyone should know that.

Rose has already said what was needed in that he welcomes anyone that steps onto the court with him, its the front office's job to get the right people playing with him.

I think the reason why the Bulls are so confident about the money is because they have a 3rd team lined up.

The key is to sell Melo on him walking onto a championship roster and the scenario with sign and trade, with Taj still here, is that. What few like to discuss is that while trading Taj and giving up the MLE makes the money situation easier, it cuts pretty hard into the reason why he would join in the first place.

All speculation on my part.

Like i've been with most of the Melo talks, i agree with you here as well.

Orlando have just shed more salary...

I don't know what is more unreasonable, the fact that folks think that GarPax inviting Taj along means that we have no ploy at a S&T and only will offer Melo 15m in cap space or that they don't know the CBA implications here and haven't explored many avenues.

I am not reading inviting Taj along as a weakening position of leverage at all.

He doesn't need to go for all of this to go down, and NY don't have to take on Boozer either if we have a 3rd team lined up, which i believe we do.
