@wojespn: Nuggets F Michael Porter Jr., will undergo a surgical procedure on his lower back and miss an indefinite period, his agent Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN. Bartelstein says Porter’s expected to make a full recovery; timetable on return will come after surgery.
Yeah, the Carter pick still makes sense.
Tough luck for him and the Nuggets. He played really well last year.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Re: Around The NBA : 21-22 Edition
Carter has only played around 30 more games than Porter, so I'm waiting to see if he makes it through an entire season. That's really the biggest disappointment with Carter, he was incredibly injury prone and didn't give you the explosive scoring of Porter when he was actually available.

Is that the next Westbrook trade rising on the horizon?

Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

To tell you the truth about Kemba and Knicks, I thought it was a weird pairing when you figure both Kemba and Fornier are below average defenders.
Kemba being the smallest but boils Thibs guts.

Their mistake wasnt drafting him.He is a good player but it was clearly a huge gamble.
The deal this past offseason was them doubling down on it which then made it worse. That could have been avoided. And Lets face it, its going to be an extremely hard road for him to come back much less live up to that contract.

Re: Around The NBA : 21-22 Edition
Jokic will leave Nuggets not because Nuggets arent good. But because they are bit incompetent. Giving guaranteed long term max deals year ahead to guy with ACL and guy with history of back injuries is simply bad management decision. You could have waited and see how situation works out in future. But now you are simply stuck.
Not unless those contracts have major health clauses which makes those deals no brainer. I just hope Bulls end up being best free agent destination that year. With good team, no major drama and issues.

Jokic gives me Giannis vibes so I think he stays.
The only other Euro that gives off the I may leave vibes is Luka. Luka is kind of content now but I wouldnt be surprised if he is 6 years in and says I want out if things stay where they are.

Giannis is kinda hinting though that he might be open to leaving. I know it was a comment but it was pretty clear IMHO. I agree I don't see either pouting and throwing a fit to get their way, but I can see them moving on for sure. I can see Jokic finding a better situation and doing an amicable S&T when his FA is up possibly. Who knows though time will tell.

Was absolutely not a mistake drafting him. Was a smart draft pick at the spot they were picking for sure. Now the extension seemed premature to everyone and they have been thrust into the worst case scenario immediately. Never seemed like a smart move, even if he stayed healthy, he still had a lot to prove this year IMO for a contract like that.

3 back surgeries in 4 years? Yikes...
Your back is the one thing that is never the same once you have to get surgery on it

That's why I really worry about him. Ive said it before, you can have bad knees. Whenever you stand up you get the cracks and aches but you still have a good quality of life after. But if you have a bad back, i dont know.

Maybe a good string of luck or he gutted through the back to get the payday but it always seemed like a problem. On a certain level I guess I am glad he got paid, but it also sucks for Denver. Kid had talent doesn’t look like his body agrees. I would also like it to happen to a team different than Denver. Happens to the Lakers and it is easier to swallow, like them Still paying Deng.

Cavs with a fairly convincing win over the poorly coached Mavs, with Markannen having a big game (and Kidd not realizing you can guard Lauri with a wing, especially if he is being played at the 3).

Its actually the fact that Lauri is KP's father. I dont know what it is, but Lauri turns into the prime version of himself when he plays KP. Has he even lost a head to head?

How dare you say the Mavs are poorly coached. Kidd is the best ever. Who else can rough up a wife like him?

Other stupid side note from me but does Isiah age? Even baby face like Crawford has aged. Is it a ton of treatments? That skin is wonderful. Maybe it is all Botox and chemical peels or something like that but man does he age well. That being said I would prefer never seeing him again.
