I agree that the pick is the prize. And it's just one pick. Probably conveys in 2026, if it goes to 2027 when BOS gets to full strength it sure won't be in the lottery.
The pick makes taking Simons and his price tag tolerable, deadline trades become much more likely. By then the Bulls should have a handle on who among White, Simons, Huerter, Ayo they want to keep. That may even be Hauser. All of which is still a question mark with so many guards. The current Collins injury makes trading Vuc contingent on being able to have get a center back from somewhere so it's not Smith and PWill.
