Teams like the Wizards, Lakers, Nets, Mavericks, Pistons, Kings don't have first round picks they can trade.

I guess the Cavs is our ideal trade partners

So are we trading him or not? The beat reporters have said that they expect the FO to be more open to moving Deng now that Rose is out again, but now we got a report from USA today saying that both the FO and Deng's camp want to and are expected to remain together beyond this season.

That would be nice if they can have Deng beyond this point, and have him do the surgery on his wrist as soon as possible if we are planning on keeping him. But I've got a feeling we are trading him, and those statements are PR move just to increase our leverage.

Is a 2014 1st an absolute must for any trade? If not, I could see Indiana being open to a Deng-for-Granger swap. They get the high quality wing they hoped to be getting in Granger this season, get a better defender to take some of the burden off of George's shoulders, and they likely wouldn't have a problem with a rental since they're all in going for the title and Granger is essentially a rental as well. Bulls do it to facilitate the tank and not lose Deng for nothing. They already traded their 2014 1st though. How about Indiana's 2014 2nd + 2016 1st?

It would suck to only be able to get that much for Luol, but hey, life sucks right now in Bulls world. At least we'd be able to help the prevention of the Heat 3-peat. As a last resort, I'd consider it... :-(

But the thing about that is kind of odd.

The "we're trading him" rumor came from FO mouthpiece K.C. Johnson, while the "we're keeping him" rumor came from an unnamed source supposedly close to the situation. If this was just a PR move/smokescreen from the FO, then one would think that would have been the opposite.

KC Johnson isn't a FO mouthpiece. He's a debbie downer mouthpiece.

No, he's not a FO mouthpiece. KC said we weren't going to use our MMLE this past off-season. Guess what we did...

I doubt the Bulls would trade Luol to the Pacers because they have nothing to offer us. I think the Bulls would rather get nothing for Luol than help the Pacers.

I think we could deal with the heat 3peat. Their history is not as great as the Bulls and not even better than SAS. The only thing bad about them winning is that people will try to say they were better than the MJ Bulls.

just read that FO thinks everything's great, so obviously they have to go before any trades. Never thought the FO was this delusional.

Deng to Cleveland makes a lot of sense for everyone. I'd be willing to trade him for their pick this/next year and an expiring.

I hope we get a pick with that. Thats basically McLemore and fillers for Deng.

I'd love to try and swing for the fences and go with something like this.

Cousins/Salmons/Thorton/McLemore for Deng and Noah. I think Cousins would be really good here with Thibs and Rose.

It's always the same crap with this front office

Stay the course, future future future, blah blah blah.

What the hell do gar Forman and paxson get paid to do? They got the easiest job on the damn planet sit back do nothing and play pr games with the fans.

While Indy Miami etc have improved our response for the league moving forward is broke down rip old ass Kirk and minimally skilled mike dunleavy

Now rose has went down and it's still the same bs

And I would love to believe that it's just more pr but the truth is this dumb ass front office just very well may try to stick with this roster not only this year but beyond

We should see if Milkkake management is dumb enough to give us Greak Freak or a pick or both to further their quest for the 8th seed.

So you think the Bulls could get McLemore, who the Kings are really high on and a franchise center for a Deng rental and Noah?

The Kings will hang up the phone.

Mclemore is very very raw and Cousins has his issues. To get 2 allstars is a good return. Deng isn't a rental either, they can resign him, they will have his bird rights.

Return to Chicago Bulls
