He's usually pretty spot on with his diagnosis.

Mitchell Robinson should be suspended. He may not have meant to cause Williams to have a season-ending injury, but the foul was intentional and excessive. The NBA should suspend Robinson and send a message to the league that intentional fouls that can cause players harm are not acceptable.

We played four bad teams and got smacked by the first real one. Can we make sure this roster is good first?

+1. The Bulls won't make any "go for it" moves until the deadline. What if Zach gets a knee injury next week?

Maybe you swap out Thomas for Stanley Johnson but that's probably about it.

If PWill is still considered the long term solution at PF then giving up much to replace him short term would be a bad idea.

I'm all for signing a PF on a prove it kind of deal. Not really interested in trading anything for awhile. Need to figure out what this team is first.

Guys are always swatting our players out of the air, and our players tend to get significantly injured as a result.
Chicago players don’t get regular injuries. They get gone.

I can't see how it happened on that foul? Not questioning that it did

Let's hope he's right here. I guess PWill could play and live with "some loss of wrist motion" to his left wrist.

It happened when he landed on the floor.

What a sad day for Pat. He seems like a high character guy, and losing this whole season is going to be really hard on him. Let's hope he comes back in 2022 ready to beast. He is still really young and I still have hopes his number is up in the UC rafters some day.

Get well kid.

He got injured on a very aggressive dunk attempt too, one of the most aggressive/explosive plays I've ever seen him attempt. Hopefully this injury doesn't discourage him from attempting things like that in the future.

Don't think you can call it career ending, but it definitely sounds as if this will be a career altering injury.

Surgery is not always required with these injuries. The fact that he requires surgery means that Pat's injury is on the more severe end of the spectrum of perilunate dislocation injuries. The 4-6 month timeframe seems extremely optimistic, but I guess we already know that Pat is a quick healer.

As does moving on from Lauri. I have to think that, given that it looks like he's solidified his ability to play the 3 and is blossoming into a good defender, he would be a perfect fit for this team.

I think that is good news for Pat. :D While surgery sucks....it might not have been a catastrophic injury.

But that is horrible news for the Bulls unless he is closer to returning in 4 months.
Play-offs start mid April..that is 5 1/2 months away. He would need time to get his legs and conditioning.

If he out for that long, he might as well be out for the season and I would rather have the DPE. But if he is coming back in 4 months, that isn't too long after the All-Star break.

Last time we had a player in this position, he didn't come back for the play-offs, even though medically cleared.

When would Mirotic's season end? He's been feuding with his team overseas for a while now.

It would be amazing if we could somehow bring him back.

I feel he's more of a 5 than a 4. He wouldn't be able to stretch the floor or provide perimeter D.

Depends on what happened in the surgery.
I shattered my left wrist in college. I had to go into surgery the next day. No one know the total extent of the damage until I was in the surgery room. I got lucky (I guess)...no pins needed. But the "surgery" was needed no matter what because the had to so many bones back into place. I got a huge old school plaster cast all the way up my arm with my wrist stuck in some strange position...6 weeks of that, followed by a smaller "normal" fiberglass cast on my forearm.

My left wrist has never been the same...but I didn't have any rehab and stuff. Pat will have top notch medical care. (Assuming the Bulls medical staff does not give him a spinal tap or something).
