Who will step up for the USA? I'm thinking Durant brings this home.

12 of 26 threepointers (46%). They should go to the rim ....!

Spain needs to bring back the Gasols. Or at least Pau.

Anyone think the NBA should adopt this foul-to-stop-the-fast-break thing? It could be very useful against Miami.

Physical, competitive, great game. Lebron, Durant and CP3 huge. Good game for Pau and Spain as well.

USA's interior defense bordered on pathetic. They still can't defend a pick and roll.

Say goodbye to Spain BTW. This generation of players is pretty much done. The talent coming through is nice, but not nice like this.

Spain will still have Marc Gasol, Rubio and Ibaka in their primes and who knows what's in the pipeline over the next few years. They'll still be medal contenders in 2016 along with France who has it's Parker/Batum/Noah core along with some nice young prospects. Argentina is the team that will likely fall out of the elite group in international basketball, with the majority of their core players currently in their 30's.

It goes without saying, but I really wish Derrick would've been able to be standing on the podium there right now.

Congrats to USA, they were clearly the best team in the tournament and deservingly won the gold medal. That being said, they're not the "Dream Team", not even close. Robinson, Ewing, Barkley, Malone and Bird would've had a field day with this team's interior defense.

Yep. They still struggle beating the zone too.
