1. Bulls don't even have the space to sign him even if he did want to come. They have to make moves in addition to amnestying Boozer which can't even happen until mid-week, at the earliest

2. His attorneys would lay the ground work over the phone and then seal the deal in person. They would negotiate in person before the Bulls even knew how much money they'd have to work with.

3. Even completely ignoring 1 & 2, the league is still shut down for the moratorium period so deal isn't being signed tomorrow, the next day, or the day after anyways.

You didn't actually refute anything he said. I'm pretty sure we're all well aware of the moratorium. All we're waiting for is Melo.

Not all wives are created equal. Some are damn cool when it comes to stuff like this.

Being a husband....the kind that wants to stay married for the rest of his life...means you put your wife first. Not wife 1a and career 1b. But wife is first. Some of the attitudes i see here go to great lengths to explain our divorce rate. Being a wife is not about being "cool". Its about being a wife. When you marry, your family should trump all. People don't live to work. They work to live.

I see nothing in there about the wife reciprocating and putting the husband at 1a and her career at 1b if the situation dictates it. If marriage is going to be a one way street and women take the attitude that they should always be 1a, that would go a long way in explaining divorce rates as well.

The fact that you think it HAS to be put in there in the first place speaks volumes. I don't have to remind my wife of her responsibilities as I honor her by putting her first. Mutuality is implied. You guys have totally jumped the shark on this. Arguing against a position I didn't take.

Anyway, word is, in the office, Melo's attorney's are heading into Chicago tomorrow. That is all I got.

So I didn't want to be just another Rando with a Source, but my Father and I have relationships with two Sr. Partners at Seyfarth Shaw LLP HQ'd in Chicago: One of the partners called me earlier this afternoon (b/c he knows how closely I'm following the Melo situation) and the other partner confirmed via text that Carmelo's Attorneys will definitely be in Chicago by tomorrow mid-morning.

No one with direct knowledge of the process would declare the Lakers had overtaken New York and Chicago in Anthony's mind, but one source close to Anthony said of the Lakers, "They're in the game now."

The way I look at this comment it seems like Melo is playing LA against CHI.

They specifically state LA is not the favorite but make a point to say they are in the game. Only reason can be money and a nice location to play.

IMO Melo may be angling to get that offer the Bulls are reported to have open for him (via Ralph) of stating at 22 mil.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic.
