I'm not assuming he didn't shoot/dribble "more" though, you are.

Have you trained seriously for a sport at a high level? You only have so much time and energy in a day. Muscle was not his deficiency. At some point it is a hindrance. I hope he plays great but it's not what is have been doing were I him.

Were you part of his rehab team. If not most of this is just ignorance.

using the instagram format, the height of bball rim as reference point and some guestimation on where the floor is, i came up with 32-33 in. not bad :dontknow:

omg his vertical decreased by 8 in he must still be hurt

I would be very excited about adding Waiters, with the full knowledge that we would be banking on his improving in a better environment. That being said he is very young so counting on that improvement is not irrational. We have seen what Thibs can do with PG's who have more limited ability. The idea of Thibs working with Waitiers...half chub

GarPax have always been excellent at talent evaluation and if they have liked Waitiers since he was drafted thats a good sign. A future lineup of Rose, Waitiers, McD, Niko, Noah looks very nice on paper.

The SG position is real weak in the NBA right now. Waiters is one of the better ones as far as taking a defender off the dribble. With Rose, Noah, Gasol and Thibs, Waiters would buy in. Same for Thompson.

Look put Gibson on the Cavs last year and see what he does. I bet it wouldn't be all that good. People bring up the 15 PER by Thompson as a bad thing in other threads, even though Gibson is a career 15 PER guy with a low TS %.

Above is why I think Waiters is a good net. You get a guy who can score and use Derrick off the ball more and though Thompson may not be where we see Taj, he is still a solid player who can defend and rebound and be the 4th big.

This is not a Waiters thread, just wanted to point out that if Rose really wants to be off the ball more, Waiters looks even more ideal.

Nothing wrong with that Brian H. No need to create a story about him playing harder than anyone else.

Practice. We're talkin' about practice.

If it was a Chicago writer, I might tend to agree with you. But since it's Windhorst, where's the value in seeing one thing and reporting something else? I'll go ahead and take his word that what he saw was Rose going harder than the others.

And why should that be surprising? Rose has the most to prove.

Watched the vid on the next page of your post above. kyrv is misinterpreting. Windhorst heaped praise on Rose.

The way it sounded to me was that Derrick was 'even ahead' as in looking sharper than other guys. Wouldn't doubt it since this camp is a huge deal for him and he's been training his butt off while everyone else is just coming off vacation.

umm it's half court to a side basket...

So we agree he shot the ball from half court!

He was clearly at half court, but he was shooting at the closer basket. I think I just retroactively flunked geometry.

Rose, Harden, PG, KD, and AD. That looks like a possible starting lineup.

I do like that he's getting into playing shape right now. Getting the kinks out, which is why a lot of people wanted him to do this so he wouldn't be going through this during the season.

It can't be stated enough that there is nothing you can do to put yourself into the type of shape you have to be in (as far as cardio is concerned) than playing an actual game.

You shouldn't question Brian Windhorst's expertise on getting winded. I'd bet he has good experience.

No he has a doctorate in kissing bron bron backside

Intense on the sideline. Into it. Studying hard. A sponge. Unanimous ROTY.

With the squad the Bulls have now, Rose should be able to pace himself.

It's worrisome that he is not watching Rose, but is clearly focused on Harden. The one thing that is hopeful is that it is an offensive set. Hopefully Thibs makes him turn away when Harden is on defense.

Man, I had a rough and very long day. This D Rose stuff is making me impossibly happy. Please God, just let him stay healthy and Rose will take care of the rest.

This won't help the situation, will it?
