Holiday for Asik and NOP 1st. If they can get Monroe over Niko, then they need to shed salary to stay below the lux tax.

They can have Pondexter back and he's an expiring.

Bulls aren't allowed to trade him back to NOP the same season he was traded from NOP to CHI.

Can we go after Monroe and offer him starting C for rest of year?

We can keep him from NO and he won't hurt the tank.

Per KC, we are keeping Nelson initially. Wonder if we try to flip him for a 2nd? Can't see why we would want to hold on to him otherwise

So what can we conceivably get for the rest now...

Asik?
Lopez?
Holiday?
Grant?
Nelson?
Allen?

I'd add Pondexter but the young crowd seems to enjoy his presence so I wont risk too many of those.

Could just be to not play Arcidiacano...we do lack PG's now for the first time in probably 20 years...lol but I think more so to try and flip for a 2nd.

Pondexter is gone.

Lopez, Holiday, and Grant are the only ones with any shot of having trade value. And I feel like Lopez is too expensive to have much demand (unless we take back a bad deal).

I think Holiday and Grant are both movable, and I hope they are dealt ASAP. I'd gladly take 2nd rounders.

Draft night, if NOP miss the playoffs or get swept in the first round:
Lopez, CHI 1st, NOP 1st for Anthony Davis

At this point, I'm hoping to take on more salary somehow, to add another late 1st. Just get used in some 3 or 4 team deal by someone needing roster spot help or luxury tax savings.

I'm not expecting Lopez to be moved honestly, but that'd be nice too, if you think you've got any shot at getting a top 3 pick.

Holiday can be moved too, to help with the tank. I'd hope for a mid second, I guess. If you can get anything for Grant, do it. But, I'm doubtful, at this point.

I wonder if we could use Grant and/or Holiday to get Felicio off the books in a deal for expirings?

Any way to take Joe Johnson from Utah ina deal to net us their pick? That way we guaranteed one lottery between NO/UTA and 3 total.

How about Lopez, Holiday to Cleveland for Shumpert, Frye and the Cav's (non Broooklyn) 1st?

Unfortunately, no. He is on an expiring contract, so Utah won't be paying someone to take his deal. Typically picks are only attached if there is future salary that they are getting off their books, unless unloading an expiring deal gets a team out of the luxury tax.

So do we wanna touch that Joakim Noah contract? What kind of return would it require?

Omer Asik for:
Joakim Noah
NYK '18 1st - top 5 protected, would probably land top 10
Bulls '18 2nd
NYK '20 1st - top 5 protected

Rationale: we won't be a player in Free Agency for a while, so might as well use our capspace to load up on 1st rounders. We turn Asik bad contract into Noah's SUPER bad contract. Hornacek doesn't even want him around, so at this point he's poisoning the well in New York. Once traded, Noah can stay in New York and collect checks from Chicago for the next 3 years.

Hopefully we are not done gutting the roster. I said before if you trade Niko then Lopez, Holiday and possibly Grant should follow.
